Lifetime Smartwool guy switching over

Rolled the dice after being a Smartwool only guy for many years. Have size 9.5 to 10 walking and trail running shoes. Hiking boots are 9.5 to 10. Sorel Caribou snow boots are 8.5 as well as Cole Han slip on dress shoes. Ski boots are a 26.5 shell. Bought these in medium.
These run a bit bigger than Smartwool which I most always bought in a size large. The Icebreakers quality of weave is readily apparent compared to the Smartwool PHD Ultralights. These look like they will outlive the Smartwools easily. Lifetime warranty (really?) on these socks...can't go wrong. If you avoid throwing these in the dryer after washing and don't walk around in them too much on hard floors they should last a good while.
    Stoked to have em.

    "Shred the Gnar" with Merino!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'll be the first to admit I'm a boarder buying a "ski sock." Basically the same thing because we both want that tight boot fit with a sock that's still going to keep you warm. All in all, this sock does EXACTLY that!

I've worn this sock 2 straight winter seasons and usually only pack one pair for the weekend of riding due to its "no stink" properties. Wear it once, hang dry it overnight and you'll be ready to roll the next day!

These are great very thin wool ski socks. I have been frustrated so many times buying ultralight ski socks to find out they attempted "strategically placed padding". These are wonderful and comfortable.

Minus one star because they are R and L foot specific. It makes sorting laundry a pain.
