Living on the foggy Norcal coast I often need a thin sweater under the sweater or sweatshirt I?m wearing. This top is perfect-slim fitting, thin but warm. I love it.

Every day essential

I wear these shirts every day in the winter under tops and sweaters. It’s perfectly fitted and very comfortable. (I am 5.1” and 100lbs and wear the xs).

Stylish and functional

Love how practical this shirt is. I use it as a base layer for hiking. Warm but breathable. In the city, looks great with pair of skinny jeans. Neck line is flattering for small busy.

A hug next to your skin.

I've never used an icebreaker base-layer next to my skin before,so soft,so surprisingly warm. The layering idea really does work without being too bulky! Worn several days in a row,still smells fresh. My new "go to" that says it all.

Not quite as soft as original

I’ve had a black version of this shirt for 7-8 years—it’s still my go-to underwear top in coldish weather, and isn’t too hot indoors. has held up beautifully. Have not been able to find another locally, and was so happy to see it on sale on the website. The new one fits well and provides the same level of insulation, just enough. The fabric is not quite as soft against the skin, not sure if the old one had the nylon content the new one has, labels illegible at this point. I’d recommend it, just wish it felt a bit softer.

Required wearing in chilly damp winters

These are my go to base layers on a daily basis in our chilly damp Northern California winters. Where is when I’m on the East Coast every place is really heated and in need of a light cotton layer under all your outerwear for when you’re indoors. Out here everywhere I go is cold all winter long. And it’s that bone chilling damp cold. So having this close fitting Lair is the only thing that keeps me warm. I am grateful for these tops. I also use them for hiking and backpacking but they are great for every day where as well.
