For the long haul.

Think your feet don't know the difference between your everyday cotton socks and a proper pair of hiking socks after a ten-mile hike? Just look to that blistered pinkie toe and pruned big toe for all the proof you need. Better than your old cotton gym socks in almost every possible way, the Icebreaker Hike+ Mid Anatomical Crew Socks are crafted with a breathable and temperature-regulating merino wool that manages moisture and naturally resists odors. Medium cushioning and a midweight design gives these socks plenty of cushioning and girth for those long-haul days on the trail, and a bit of nylon adds the extra durability they need to stay in one piece when you're hoofing it over rock- and root-strewn trails all day.

  • Midweight hiking socks designed for long days on the trail

Top Notch

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

All Icebreaker socks are soft and comfortable. These keep my feet warm for over 5 hours out on the mountain (skiing or snowshoeing). They're high quality and designed to support your feet in all the right spots.

Sooooo comfy

I cannot rave about these socks enough. Icebreaker truly uses super high-quality wool, and it shows. The pictures don't do them justice... these socks are very supple. They also do a great job of keeping my feet warm even if they're sweaty. The other magical thing about merino is that you could wear these bad boys for two or three days in a row and only start to smell them.

One thing though: don't dry them in the dryer. Wool shrinks.

Light weight and warm!

I love icebreaker socks! They are light weight and thinner than full on wool socks, but they still keep my feet dry and warm. I love using them for hiking in the fall/winter and even as snowboarding socks. They have extra padding where you want it as well! Around the heel and toes, usually where blisters form. I have yet to get a blister wearing these socks!

bake off vs. darn tough crew light

These are great socks. I've been switching over to lighter weight wool socks for day to day use and did a bake off with these vs. the Darn Tough crew light cushion. These are more heavily padded in high wear areas, so would be a better hiking sock than the Darn Tough light crew. These are also a bit higher up on the leg which I prefer. So I'll use the Icebreaker Hike+ for light hiking and use the Darn Tough for day to day around town use. Both are great with the Icebreaker getting the edge for hiking and the Darn Tough getting the edge for daily wear.

I wear a size 13 shoe and the XL fit just right

Fabulous socks!

Icebreaker Hike+ Lite/Mid Crew Socks are one of my favorites. With the Icebreaker Hike+ Lite/Mid Crew Socks being built well, comfortable and durable it is hard to find a better sock. I wear them in any moment I can, particularly throughout the winter. Berz Rating: 95/100

Warm socks

These are incredibly soft and warm. My foot feels perfectly cushioned when wearing these.
