Why We Like The Crush Pant

Its name is intense, but the only thing hardcore about the Icebreaker Crush Women's Pant is the comfort it serves up. A blend of merino wool and synthetic fibers means it's luxuriously soft and warm. An elastic drawcord waist and ribbed cuffs add some classic sweatpant details to this new and improved take on casual pants.

  • Incredibly comfortable sweatpant made with merino wool
  • Stretchy merino blend excels at thermal regulation and odor control
  • Elastic waist with adjustable drawstring for a secure fit

Not for the tactile sensitive

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I LOVE icebreaker products. I live in their wool tees and long sleeves year round. I was so excited for these—the ultimate body temp regulating sweatpants—but they were disappointingly scratchy. I cannot imagine wearing these with leg stubble. It feels like a clothing tag that is just slightly annoying you with the scratchiness, which is not what you want from comfortable lounge/camp clothes. I bought these on sale or I’d be tempted to try a diff color to see if there was a softness difference. Superbly made, like all icebreaker items, and the fit was spot on.

Natural Comfort

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I really prefer wool over most any other material so the fact that these are made out of wool gives them a leg up in my book. The waist band is super comfortable. It moves well with you if you are bending, stretching, etc. The length is perfect. I am 5'10" so sometimes joggers are 3 inches too short. That is not the case with these. They regulate the temperature well. We just are coming out of our -10F cold snap and these were excellent at maintaining warmth at night.

My only complaint is that they attract dog hair like no one's business.

Sweatpant Perfection

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

Quote from my wife:
"It's like swimming in a climate controlled cloud of comfort"
The waistband isn't too thin or too thick, super comfy, not too constricting around the ankle cuffs. She also commented on how well it regulates body temp. She can sleep in them without overheating, but they are plenty warm for around the house lounging.
I would be tempted to remove a star because they are kind of expensive...
Ok, pretty darn expensive, but that is what makes them a great gift. The best gifts are the ones that you know somebody would love but maybe wouldn't buy for themselves. I almost went with a different pair to keep the cost in check but remembered how much I love Merino Wool in socks and base layers and decided to splurge. My wife is way stoked on them.
She normally wears a size 8 and the Medium fit perfectly.

Warm and Cozy

These wool pants are great. I purchased them as my sleepwear for backpacking and camping and have got a lot of great use out of them. I hate wearing your typical wool tights to bed as I feel they are too restrictive. These solve that problem. The cuff at the ankle helps to keep them from riding up while sleeping.

All-day wear

  • Size Bought: Large

I started out this morning (on a Thanksgiving visit ) wearing these for a short hike on a cool mountain top down to the creek, back to the house for pizza, playing with energetic toddlers, then two hours at the local museum--and another two hours' ride home--comfortable (not baggy) and warm. Thank you!

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I wasn't sure if this style would fit or look okay for someone pear-shaped and thunder-thighed, and to my awesome surprise they fit and look great. And they are SO soft and SO comfortable.

170 and curvy and appreciate your feedback!!

Love these pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

These pants are quite lightweight, which I thought would mean "not warm enough". Not so at all. They provide warmth but they are also breathable and super comfortable. Love the pockets too! I also bought my mother a pair and she loves them!

New Favorite Sweatpants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These sweatpants are SUPER comfortable and have the exact fit that I was looking for. They are warm with the merino, but the material is not too thick (I'd say medium weight) and easy to move around in with a good amount of stretch. The fit is perfect, not tight but not too baggy around the hips and thighs. I usually wear US womens 8, inseam 34-35" and I ordered a L which ended up being perfect for me. Will def be ordering the same pair in the black.
