Versatility is the name of the game when it comes to the Ibex Women's Shak Traverse Sweater. Ideal for days spent in the backcountry or at the climbing crag, this sweater features a heavyweight merino wool construction that offers subtle warmth and effortless body temperature regulation. Not to mention, merino wool naturally wicks away moisture, dries quickly, and is odor-resistant, which makes the Shak all the more adaptive and versatile. The flatlock seams discourage chafing and hot spots, while the two hand pockets keep necessities close by for easy access. Additionally, the Shak is fashioned with a semi-fitted design, meaning it's slim enough for layers over top, yet touts just-enough room for baselayers underneath.

- Q & A
Ibex Shak Traverse
Nice but not as nice as the old version.
- Size Bought: Medium
The material on this new jacket is the same, but the cut is not as flattering as a version I bought in Toronto in around 2007. The wider waistband on the new jacket interferes with the way it drapes over the body. The old version had some great curvy seams on the arms, and a small zip pocket- it was very versatile, fitting over almost any under layer. The new version will only fit over trimer under layers. It will catch on shirttails and looks not as neat. Am keeping it since it's a warm layer.
