Not Synthetic Fabrics!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Backcountry lists this shirt as 52% nylon, 48% polyester and says it's a "full synthetic blend" in the description. In actuality, there are two different labels on the shirt saying it's 55% cotton and 45%. Returning the shirt now. What's the point of having a "Tech" shirt that's cotton?? Too bad because this is a cool looking shirt that I was hoping to do some hiking in.... but cotton kills, man.

Howler Brothers x Chaco H Bar B Shirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

I'm usually in between a medium and a large. Large across the shoulders, but medium in length. For Howler Brothers, mediums fit me perfectly.

Not only do I really like the style of this shirt, but the performance is superb. For starters, I love the snaps instead of buttons. They're lightweight and go well with the thin, moisture wicking material. The shirt vents well and is very comfortable. I have full-range arm movement with no resistance. So far I've used this shirt on the trail, in the office, and on the water. If I was going on a trip and had no idea what activities would ensue, this would be the first shirt I would pack.

What's cooler than cool?

This shirt. That's what.
Chaco and Howler combined efforts to create a visually crushing co-lab. This shirt has just enough tech to be on point on the bike, in the river, at the office, around the fire, or at the bar. This shirt is ideal. Fit is Texas medium. So not slim, not wide. Just real comfy.
