Nordic inspiration, steadfast performance.

Inspired by Scandinavian anoraks, the Holden Men's Scout Side Zip Jacket offers steadfast, snow-worthy style and performance, so you're able to hot-lap the park, bowl, or corduroy till your heart's content. The Scout features a classic, anorak pullover construction, yet is equipped with two side entry zippers to enable easy wearability. Furthermore, the Scout is equipped with a waterproof, breathable construction that keeps precipitation at bay, while the PFOA-free DWR treatment and fully taped seams double down on your defense against moisture.

The Scout is also outfitted with targeted insulation, meaning the Scout is never too-hot or too-cold (unless you wear it to the Arctic or the Sahara Desert, which is probably not suggested anyway). Additionally, a fully adjustable hood allows you to customize your protection, while the hem and cuffs are also adjustable for a personalized fit and feel. Not to mention, a bevvy of pockets keep necessities, like snacks and supplies, close at hand.

  • A sturdy and stylish jacket for snowboarding or skiing
  • Waterproof, breathable exterior protects against precipitation
  • Side-entry zips make for an easy on and off process
  • Fully taped seams bolster defense from moisture

The Holden Scout is the coolest snowboard jacket I’ve ever owned! I have a slight problem with buying too many jackets, so I have lots to compare it with. I’d consider this jacket to be a slight step up from a shell because it does have a thin layer of insulation, as my other shells don’t quite give me warmth. I’ve worn this on warm blue bird days and freezing cold night shreds at Brighton Resort, and if you are in 0-15 degree conditions, layer up! On warmer days, you can rock this on just a long sleeve and if that gets too hot, you can unzip the side zippers and get some nice full body ventilation going! I really like the length of the sleeves for fitting nice over my gloves. Kangaroo pocket is cool as well for putting lens cloths, phones, beers, etc. I am 5’11”, 160 pounds, and the large is nice for putting layers on underneath, but isn’t baggy when just wearing it by itself. Some cons would be that there is no powder skirt, which I find essential for those deep pow days, and not much for inside pockets. All in all, this jacket looks sweet, is very comfy, and fits best out of any jacket I’ve owned so far!

If you look good, you are good

I bought this as a gift for a friend and they told me it is their favorite jacket. He said he always gets compliments up on the hill. It's doesn't have much insulation but a base layer and t shirt underneath is perfect 90% of the time. He also said the only downfall is there is no interior pocket. The quality is top notch, wouldn't expect anything less from Holden.
