Deerskin Wool Tricot Glove
Greet finger-numbing weather with the sleek and sophisticated Deerskin Wool Tricot Glove by Hestra. Its deerskin palm comes from the white-tailed deer in North America, and it has a supple feel and a beautiful, grainy texture. - Q & A
After several times wearing them, a rip developed at seam on the ring finger ( left glove). Glove is fairly warm though.
Low Profile but Warm
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These gloves fit close against the hand and look thin but once they are on the hand they feel much thicker. The palm of the glove is the thinnest part making it easy to pick things up. The wool backer keeps your hands warm and lets the glove breathe a little more then a full leather option. The brown leather band on the bottom of the glove does cover the wearers wrist but it can be flipped up for less coverage and more flexability.
Im excited to use these gloves in everything from skiing to driving my car. The winters in Utah can get so chilly that having an extra pair of gloves for every day use is handy
For reference i am 5'5", 150lbs, and my recommended size is a 7 but i size down to a six due to the finger length on the glove fitting me better. It is tight on my hands but the leather and wool stretches a little to comform to my natural hand shape
If you do not know your size in Hestra gloves there is a handy size chart (punny right?) that you can use to pick the right size for your hands.
Classy AND Warm
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got a compliment on these gloves the first time I wore them out. I love them. They fit my fingers a little weird only because I have long skinny fingers and the fingers on these gloves are a little wide for me. It doesn't make them uncomfortable however. Just takes a little getting used to. I was concerned about the durability of the wool but so far it's holding up really well.
