For all things vertical.
Whether you're climbing alpine ice or mid-mountain granite, the Haglöfs Roc Spirit 30 Backpack will comfortably carry all the essentials with its no-frills design. Ensuring optimum versatility, Haglöfs made sure the pack could be stripped down to save weight and increase comfort and efficiency for both on-route wear and long approaches.
The top lid, framesheet, aluminum stay, and hip belt can all be removed from the pack when rock climbing with the pack on, while all of these features and the Interact suspension system work to keep the pack comfortable when you're hiking with a full load to a remote crag or summit. Super-durable 210D HT Cordura nylon fabrics make the Roc Spirit capable of dealing with alpine rock and ice, and the addition of a PFOA-free DWR treatment offers additional repellency to light rain and spindrift. Ice axes can be attached to the front of the pack and pick protection sleeves protect extra hear from sharp edges.

Brain doesn't work
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I like this pack and some of the features but I have to give it one star because the brain simply doesn't stay on. This pack is fine when stuffed to the brim. When this pack is only half full, the brain just sags down so far that main container becomes exposed. Also since it's a hook strap attachment instead of a buckle, the buckle falls off due to the brain sagging. I've tried every configuration to get it stay on top but I know that I have it set up correctly and there's just no solving this problem. Don't buy it - you'll regret it.
