L.I.M Touring Proof Pant

The Haglöfs Women's L.I.M Touring Proof Pant is a backcountry-specific ski pant built to pack small, weigh less, and provide the utmost waterproofing and breathable comfort. Its Proof membrane boasts high waterproof, breathable ratings, and it's also windproof to cut back the brisk chills that leave you shivering on the skin track. Haglöfs made this pant out of durable Cordura with a four-way stretch for freedom of movement. If you're sweating on the skin track, then this pant's side zippers open up for sufficient ventilation. There are hook-and-loop adjustments at the waist for a secure fit, and bottom leg zippers make it easy to access the internal boot gaiters for solid coverage from the snow.

  • Ski pant specialized for backcountry touring
  • Proof membrane is waterproof, windproof, and breathable
  • Ventilation zippers on each side amplify airflow
  • Bottom leg zippers with boot gaiters inside
  • Waist adjustment ensures a secure fit

"Less Is More"

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

The name does suggest this material is going to be thin. It is very breathable but I think a full length baselayer or fleece pant underneath would suffice. I would rather be dry and waterproof than humid inside and waterproof so this my new rainwear. Getting the jacket soon and definitely keeping both. The color and size selection made choosing difficult but I got lucky on the first try.

As thin as a windbreaker but super nice

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Hi, Not saying anything particularly bad about the pants, but I just wanted to share in case these are/aren’t what you’re looking for:

LOVE the vibrant color & fit but have to return them because I’m going to Colorado & these seem way too thin to keep me warm. I bought 5 pairs of ski pants this week in a mix of brands and these are without a doubt the thinnest ones. They feel just like a windbreaker or the shorts that you use to go to swim at the beach & I was worried to spend that much money & still be cold. Now, I live in a tropical climate, so I obviously have no tolerance for the cold, so maybe these are great for other people who are used to low temps, but I honestly don’t know so at least you can keep that in mind before you buy.

The Best Breathable Touring Pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I am obsessed with these pants. When I first got them I doubted their waterproof-ness because of how stretchy and soft they are. Turns out, they are totally waterproof. I put them through just about every condition during my ski trip to Norway. It rained on the boat, it snowed up high, we were skiing corn, powder, and horrible crust. These things made it through it all. It was pretty warm out during our trip and these pants breath so well I only remember using the side vents when I wore my extra warm baselayers under them on the skin track. They fit a little small. I'm a US 27 or 6 and the mediums are a perfect fit. Any smaller and I think the look would be a little too Euro for me. The thigh pocket is perfect for holding your beacon. I have a BCA tracker 2 and it's a great fit.
