For dawn to dusk days on the trail.
From exploratory hikes through desert canyons to ambitious summit pushes, Gregory's Zulu 30 Backpack comfortably carries all the gear you need during those sunup to sundown days in the backcountry. Being the smallest offering in the Zulu series, this 30-liter option has a 35lb weight capacity and features a supportive frame and breathable CrossFlo mesh back panel to ensure the pack rides comfortably as you traverse long ridges and navigate tight desert slots. The hybrid access design combines the benefits of a traditional top-loading pack with a zippered front panel where deeply buried gear and layers can be easily accessed on the trail. An integrated rain cover stows away in the front stretch pocket where a light rain jacket can be stashed when heavy weather seems imminent. In addition to its stretch mesh side water bottle pockets, the Zulu also features a hydration reservoir sleeve to keep your whistle wet as you race the sunset back to the trail head.

Exactly what I wanted
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I am very particular with backpacks. This one fit the bill with the multi use pockets, body straps, and bright color options (I got green) all in the right size for my long daypacking / short overnight needs. I've used it a bit on the trail now (about 50ish miles) and the structure is great and overall it's very comfortable and prefect for my needs.
