Unforgiving fabric & construction
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
The gloves don't conform to the shapes of my hands comfortably.
Part of this is because there's a band of printed reflective material that doesn't stretch with the Infinium fabric it's printed on, so it constricts my hands as I pull the gloves on.
Secondly, since you can use these gloves with touchscreens, there's this rubber film on the index and thumb fingertips that behaves unpleasantly. When it's cold (which is when I wore these gloves while using my phone), they harden and become kind of tacky, making it hard to use sliding gestures on my iPhone. On top of that, this rubber, filmy material is stiffer than the fabric it's printed on, which prevented the index and thumb fingertips from conforming to the shape of my index fingers and thumbs. This meant that touchscreen accuracy was terrible when I wore the gloves, because these conductive fingertips were sticking up partially away from my actual fingertips.
Additionally, the Infinium fabric itself isn't as stretchy as I expected it to be, causing hot spots between my fingers where the gloves pinch the webbing of my hands if I pull the gloves on tightly.
I'll also second the previous review's comment that the fabric is a lot thinner than I expected, making these gloves a pair that I've never worn on a ride below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
