Be bold and start cold
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
It's early season and you are checking the weather religiously waiting to ditch your lobster gloves and shed your winter weight in cycling gear. While it's not summer yet, these are the spring rides that will shape your fitness for the year to come. My go to? The Gore Wear C7 Gore-Tex Infinium Jersey.
As I head out in the overcast 50 degree morning, I bring no wind vest or any top layer besides this jersey. I know while the sun may not poke out much today, the Gore Wear C7 Gore-Tex Infinium Jersey will regulate my temperature. No more unzipping the winter jacket when sweaty only to be cold as the wind hits my damp jersey underneath. No more trying to ride no hands on the group ride as I try to add/remove layers in order to regulate my temperature. This jersey has all these answers for me.
As I pedal towards the base of the Wasatch, I feel light, sleek, and protected. Climbing the twists and turns of the mountain road just outside the city, I stay perfectly regulated in temperature as my Garmin reads 6,000, 7,000, 8000, ft and higher. Winded at the top of the climb, I am amazed I am just in a jersey and arm warmers on top. I am not hot, I am not cold.
Descending down, I feel as if I have found the perfect layer that I could never pin point exactly what I needed. Before, I was always either too hot or too cold. Now, the Gore Wear C7 Gore-Tex Infinium Jersey breathes well and blocks the elements.
Who is this for? This is for early morning rides when the world is still asleep as the sun slowly rises above the horizon. This is for spring rides where the group ride leaves at 10am and you know by noon it will have jumped 7 degrees. This for the fall rides where you can hear the crunch of orange and yellow under your tires. No more looking at all the clothes in my drawer and trying to mix and match. I have found the one for this ride.
