Why We Like The C5 Short

When we’re hours into a big trail or enduro day we’re extra grateful for throwing on the GORE WEAR C5 Short before today’s adventure. This lightweight short breathes incredibly well and efficiently wicks moisture away from the body. With secure zip pockets and an abrasion-resistant construction we’re at ease about our valuables, and shorts, if we do take a tumble on the trail.

  • Trail shorts for long rides in humid conditions
  • Ventilation features help keep moisture at bay
  • Pairs well with our favorite GORE WEAR liner
  • Plenty of room underneath for hip and knee pads
  • Secure zip pocket stores valuables and small items
  • Hook-and-loop adjustment with button closure dials in fit

Versatile baggies for trail riding

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Size Bought: L

I am 6'2" and 180lbs. Fit is on the long side in terms of thigh coverage which I like. These are also not very baggy, so if you have thunder thighs they may be a little tight. It may also not be ideal for knee pads. That said for trail riding these are really nice, not flapping around and they look good on and off the bike. I ran a Zoic liner but I am sure they would be fine over bibs as well. Fabric sheds water but is also very light and breathable. So I would say good for anything from damp cool rides up to hot days in the saddle. The large fit perfect out of the box on my 32" waist. There is a Velcro adjust on the waist to cinch up. This is just my initial impression but Gore stuff is generally durable so if I have anything otherwise to share after more rides I will update.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Arm Length:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
