C3 Thermo Tight

Keeping you warm on your bike without costing an arm and a leg is what the C3 Thermo Tight from Gore Wear is all about. The tight provides insulating warmth and comfort when the mercury takes a dive and its minimal bulk, thanks to advanced materials and fabrics, will have you out and getting in the base miles during the cooler so you can make next cycling season your best yet.

Gore constructs the C3 Thermo with flat-lock seams that reduce the chance of friction, irritation, and chafing. The crotch and center back area both receive an extra panel to protect against cold blasts of wind and road spray while the all-important knee area gets an additional layer of thermo-stretch material for extra warmth. An adjustable elastic waistband with a flat drawcord keeps the fit in check and the reflective logo and print help improve safety and visibility in low light.

  • Full-length tights for cool-weather cycling
  • Synthetic material is breathable and wicking
  • Thermo lining increases warmth retention
  • Articulated knees enhance free movement
  • Center back pad protects you from wheel spray

Very warm...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I decided to buy these after I noticed the roubaix tights that I was using were starting to show significant wear. Although also fleece these Gore Thermo tights have less pile than normal roubaix tights. The fabric is lighter but also more stretchy. They seem to generate more warmth when spinning the cranks than my old tights but less warm when off the bike standing still or walking. I like the reinforced fabric at the knees and overall the quality is very good. Sizing runs bigger than the Euro race cut. Normally I would take a large in the euro brands but here the medium fits perfect. Tight but with lots of stretch. Due to the abundance of stretch zippers at the leg bottoms are lacking and not needed. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product.

My New Favorite Tights

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I finally wore out my old tights from another manufacturer and thought I'd give Gore a try since I love their windstopper caps, gloves, and arm warmers. These tights exceeded my expectations - on a windy night when the temps dropped from 53 to 46 degrees my legs were warm from start to finish on a 32 mile ride. With the other brand I had to cycle a few miles to get my legs heated up, but Gore tights keep you comfortable from the get-go.

Are they brushed fabric on the inside ?
What size did you buy for your height and weight ?
Also, do they have zipper leg bottoms ?
Thanks !
