Don't let a little rain keep you indoors.
Retreating to the safety of a trainer in front of the TV is one way to keep your feet warm in wet weather, but pulling on Gore Bike Wear's Road Gore-Tex Light Overshoes keeps your feet dry and keeps you off the trainer. Riding in icy rains can turn the toughest hardmen into shivering babies, but the Gore-Tex membrane in these overshoes seals out even the most driving precipitation. Despite that protection, the overshoes are also breathable, so they jettison water vapor when the sun pokes unexpectedly through the clouds. The KEVLAR-reinforced sole will last through multiple seasons of heavy wear, and reflective details help motorists see you coming even when the downpour is bordering on biblical.
- Q & A
Excellent concept, wrong sizing
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
The overshoes are really well thought out, with all the right features - Gore-Tex waterproof, ankle zippers, hook and loop close in the soles, Kevlar reinforced around the soles, reflective strip, zipper garage, and elastic cuffs. It is a shame that a size L, which is supposed to fit US 9 to US 10.5, will barely fit a 9, and depending on the shoes it will not even fit a 9. Have not tried it in the rain yet as sizing has put me off.
