Protect your assets.
The Gore Bike Wear Power Trail GT AS Pant is made with a guaranteed waterproof breathable Gore Tex membrane to protect you from the worst weather that you’ll encounter on a ride.
To provide the utmost protection from the elements, Gore constructed the Power Trail pant with Gore Tex Active Shell. Each region has been thoughtfully considered, and because of this, the Power Trail pant is equal parts protection, comfort, and flexibility. Starting with the body of the pants, Gore used its patented Gore-Tex Active Shell fabric. You know the name, but you might not know that this material is 100% wind- and water-proof. On top of that, it's engineered for a high breathability. That's right, with the comfort and weight of a midlayer, and the protection of a shell, this material will keep you dry from both the rain and your own sweat. And while the material is extremely malleable, Gore also pre-shaped the knees to permit a full range of movement.
Beyond the knees, the totality of the Power Trail pants has been pre-shaped to your riding posture. And to protect the pants from you, the seat has been reinforced to resist the wear and tear of saddle abrasion. For additional coverage, the high-cut back stops puddles from splashing your under layer, and the elasticized waist with a grippy insert lets you get a comfy fit regardless of your base layers' thickness. Zippers at the cuffs make it easy to get the pants on over your shoes, and Gore finished them off with reflective accents to make the ride home from the trail a little safer.
And knowing that you have to get off of the trail sometime, Gore gave the pants reflective accents to heighten your visibility in low-light conditions.
- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Small
Just got the Gore Power Trail pants and inmediately tried them on for fit. Ordered the small and they were spot-on (I'm 5.8 tall, 152 lb, 39' chest, 31' waist, athletic-muscular build, muscular thights). The right amount of looseness, a perfect fit over my Assos Mille S7 summer ridding shorts. can't wait for wet and windy weather to try them on the road. I live in Fort Lauderdale FL so no "cold" weather here but can expect these pants to get good use in the monsoon season and any time we get heavy showerts. I'm an "all-wheather" rider. Will update later.
