Rough roads don't stand a chance.

Having a good feel for your bars is a big part of good bike control, but some careful padding is seriously appreciated when you're churning out long rides or pedaling over rough roads. Gore Bike Wear's Power 2.0 Glove leaves your fingers free so you can feel what's happening underneath you, but accents it with gel padding at the heel of your hand and foam padding at the palm, so you can cruise rough roads, or even gravel, without feeling like your hands are being jostled to death. A mesh panel at the back of the hand increase breathability and prevents sweat from building up, and a microfiber thumb panel is perfect for wiping noses or sunglasses.

Did my own modification

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I'm not a fan of velcro so I removed them; they were unnecessary. Sweat pad runs all along the thumb side, which is nice. No long rides yet.

Not holding up

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

I have bad luck with gloves. Most gloves seem to start falling apart within a few weeks of use. Sometimes I find a glove that will last for a season or more, but they get discontinued.
I have a few issues with these gloves. First, I am between an X and XL with most gloves. I usually order an XL online just to be sure it isn't too tight. These XLs are slightly tight, but it isn't too bad.
Second, the sweat wipe area is simply too large. It is big and bulky in that section of the glove. The rest of the glove is just fine.
Third, I love the idea of the pulls on these gloves. That's what attracted me to these gloves because I liked them in other brands. However, when pulling them off after my morning ride the pulls started to rip the fabric on the fingers.

I usually wear a L, these fit small so recommend ordering a size up like others have suggested. Otherwise construction seems good, but I have used very little due to snug fit.

Tough Glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

Good sturdy glove and as all reviewers stated, they run small. The hooks to help pull them off are a necessity and are holding up well after 2,500 miles. The palms are good with minimal padding. These gloves do run hot though contrary to the description. I would purchase again.

Good gloves but they do run small

The gloves are comfortable for a long ride but I thought I'd need to use tire levers to get them off.

Decent looking gloves. Just got mine and I have to return for XL. Bump up one size when ordering off their chart.

Extreme comfort

Well made glove with ample gel padding and really soft, large sweat pad. Very comfortable and easy to remove due to the finger loops. The only glove I use. Washes well too.
