Versatile wind-blocking warmth.
Pull on the Gore Bike Wear Power Beanie, cinch down the drawcord top, and get moving. As you move through the day’s workout, loosen the drawcord and let your head blow off a little heat. WindStopper Soft Shell fabric blocks the wind, and the cinch cord allows you to wear the Power Beanie as a hat or a scarf. Whichever you choose, you’ll be warm and dry.
- Q & A
The drawcord stopper interferes with helmet fit.
Price was right but...
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love Gore Bike Wear (obviously enough to capitalize). However, when I asked (here) if it had the windstopper membrane throughout, I was told by one of the dipshidiots that have a backcountry profile that I'm assuming just post pictures in the reviews of the "windstopper" logo. "Yes, top to bottom. Windstopper."
It's a two inch patch of the membrane across the forehead to just past the temples. The rest is just one leg of a cheap Target yoga pant they hemmed a little red bungee through.
is there a width / diameter measurement for this? would one estimate s/m/l/xl?
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is great for running, cycling, XC skiing, and anything where you work up a sweat in the cold. It's really handy to be able to move it around to wherever you need it, and not necessarily have to purchase 2-3 individual pieces of clothing.
GORE's use of WINDSTOPPER fabric
Greetings! I have provided an explanation of the high-tech functionality of WINDSTOPPER fabric, and how GORE is incorporating this technology with other materials in the following video: http://vimeo.com/56951813
Please note that there is an audio delay in this video. I apologize for any frustration this might cause some viewers. Good luck! I hope the video helps you make the best purchasing decision.

Is it windstopper material all around or just around the forehead/ears?
