Perfecting Your Ride.
We've found that a vest is perhaps the best piece of kit to have in the arsenal when searching for garments to wear when layering in variable conditions. Keeping the core warm is essential, and a vest prevents having too much on leading to overheating especially when a little tempo or climbing is on the docket. Gore Bike Wear's Element WindStopper Active Shell Vest is a straightforward and effective piece of kit to keep you comfortable while cycling during fickle weather. Its lightweight polyester fabric is laminated with a Windstopper Active Shell membrane, stopping the wind from diffusing through the material and exchanging your body heat with chill. The Element also maintains maximum breathability preventing overheating when you're climbing so you can leave the vest on and focus on the ride.
The Element is a perfect addition worn over a long sleeve jersey adding versatility. Reflective piping on the sides and a front and back logo increases visibility and safety. The two compartment patch pockets on the rear and an additional Napoleon chest pocket keep snacks and essentials on board for the ride. Gore finishes the Element Vest with a tall and ergonomically shaped collar and wind-blocking zipper storm flap to prevent drafts on the windiest days and the fastest descents.

I love how it feels and how it protects from the elements, but it runs larger... i should have gotten a size smaller. The size chart says Medium for chest size 89-94, I am at 90cm, it clearly its a size bigger.

Chest pocket makes it very unique; Gore makes outstanding clothes. Highly recommend. It's a warm & comfortable vest - perfect for even some light CA drizzle, which I wore it in.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I really like this vest. I have used it several times. It is comfortable, high quality, and keeps the wind out. I did have to size up. I feel it runs small, especially if you want to actually wear something under it.
