Giro's classic for the little ones.
Giro spent more years working on the Kids' Nine Jr. Ski Helmet than your grom has been alive. In-mold construction fuses a tough shell with an impact-absorbing foam liner for an ideal blend of safety and comfort. The In Form fit system utilizes a glove-friendly toggle at the back to ensure a secure fit. Your child can close the Super Cool vents with the Thermostat Control switch at the top. Giro designed this helmet to accommodate Giro goggles without adding any bulk to the sides or face, and Giro Audio compatibility allows your young shredder to jam out on the slopes with Giro audio systems (sold separately).

Great Kids Helmet
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fits my son well. He wore it last year at Alta during some heavy snow days and never complained about being cold at ski school. He was 5 at the time. He'll be 6 this year and I'm expecting the same. The goggles I bought fit well with it. No issues at all. I don't have to worry about any head injuries since he's a new skier and the peace of mind is worth it.
Does this helmet have MIPS? What model year is it?
Hi Shelley, This helmet is the 2015 version and it does not have MIPS technology. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly. - Matthew Pizza - Expert Gearhead
I have a pretty small head for an adult, so I tried a kids helmet. I bought this in a small and it fits great. It is easily adjustable and doesn't slide around my head. The interior fabric is soft and looks nice. I bought it specifically for the adjustable air vents. Unfortunately, the snow quit falling in California before I had a chance to ski with it. This is my first helmet. I avoided buying one for a long time because I couldn't find a helmet that felt OK on my head. I think I will like wearing this one.
