Neo Jr. MIPS Helmet

When your grom gets suited up for a day on the slopes you might argue that baselayers make the most important start, but on the finishing end we think that it's best to top things off with the a reliable helmet for all-around protection for style and comfort all day.

  • A stylish shell to keep your grom's noggin secure
  • Polycarbonate shell with EPS foam takes the brunt of impacts
  • MIPS technology adds extra protection from rotational forces
  • Padded ears are removable for cleaning after a warm day on the hill
  • Thermostat Control venting is adjustable even with gloves on
  • In Form fit system allows for comfort to be fine-tuned
  • Kid-approved style looks sleek and bolt on the mountain

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Fit great.

DO NOT BUY! Chin strap unusable

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I had really high hopes this helmet would be awesome for my little ripper. I was glad to find a reasonably priced kids helmet that had more adult like features and comfort. The shell fits her wonderfully, but as soon as I tried to adjust the chin strap, I knew this helmet was basically unusable. The problem is, Giro put an off the shelf chin strap from some of their adult helmets, on this helmet specifically designed for kids, WTF. The way the chin strap padding is sewn to the strap, prevents any significant adjustment and it straight up won't fit the child who's head the shell was sized for. This isn't a case of buying the wrong size, as I said, the shell is perfect. This is a case of poorly thought out (no thought) design. This helmet is unsafe, and it shouldn't be sold to the public. I've included a pic of my daughter wearing the helmet, size small, with the chinstrap set at its MAX tight adjustment. As you can see, no bueno.

DO NOT BUY! Chin strap unusable
