GiroIndex OTG Goggles

Leave the contacts at home.

Giro's Index OTG Goggles are over-the-glasses goggles designed for skiers who'd rather not ski with contacts frozen to their eyeballs. Their lens has an anti-fog coating to clear moisture, but the same cannot be said for your glasses. Giro designed the frame to fit their helmets seamlessly, thereby avoiding the dreadful gaper gap. Two layers of cushy foam offer a secure seal against your face, and the microfleece lining feels smooth against the skin.

  • Cylindrical, thermoformed lens with anti-fog coating
  • Seamless connection with all Giro helmets to avoid the gape
  • Double-layer face foam with soft microfleece lining

Good OTG

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Nice goggle, works well with my glasses. I have never found a OTG that is flawless. I recommend contacts, if you are able to wear them.

OK OTG googles

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

No fogging issues, overall not bad googles, pretty comfortable, however I have bunch of other OTGs and my first choice would be Scott Unlimited or Storms since Scott's have wider vision angle. Giro's sight is just narrower.

Comfortable on the Face and the Wallet

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I’ve used OTG goggles before but they ended up fogging my glasses. But with the GIRO INDEX they DO NOT FOG and fit over my glasses PERFECTLY. Not surprised though because Backcountry is my go-to! The price is great and I'm so glad I bought these!!

Great OTG

I've tried out a few of these and hands down these are the most comfortable and functional.

Works!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's very nice, no fogging! Yeah! OTG, but its very comfy. Price is awesome too!

Fits comfortably

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Glasses fits comfortably. Functions well. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because of how fragile it is. I ran my fingers across it (i have short nails, no sharp angles) and it scratched the screen...
For the price I paid, I expected the screen to be sturdier.

Fits over my glasses; fits my helmet.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fits over my glasses; fits my helmet. No fogging issues yet ... they do grab my glasses frames when removing them, though, so I have to be careful not to send my glasses flying across the room (or worse, across the run).

Does the Giro Index (Item # GIR0326) have a silicon backing on the strap?

Great OTG goggles that don't fog up

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used these for the first tjme this past week on a beautifully sunny yet cold day. They fit great over the glasses. Comfortable. And did not fog up at all. Neither did my glasses. The Amber Rose lens tint is supposed to work in many different light conditions and it was perfect this time. Glad that I purchased these.

Fit great over glasses

These OTC googles work great over glasses, and the tint is just right. They work well in the snow, and on my bike. Best of all, they don't fog up.

Index over the glass goggles

Finally a goggle that fits over glasses and works with helmets that looks really GOOD. The Rose Silver lens works great in all light conditions.
