FR-C Short-Sleeve Pro Lyte Jersey

We're not gonna lie, we love riding bikes during the summer. There's so much daylight available allowing us to plan out epic routes that we daydream about in the depths of winter. It does come with its own requirements for clothing if you want to remain comfortable and not overheat though, so if your like us and want to get the most out of your summer rides, grab Giordana's new FR-C Short-Sleeve Pro Lyte Jersey for men and go ahead and plan out a new record mileage ride for yourself. When the mercury is on the rise, this will be the jersey you'll consistently reach for.

Weighing in at an impressive 85 grams, this flyweight jersey certainly ensures you aren't hauling around any extra material. It's crafted from a perforated material that helps maximize breathability and ventilation, while the woven ceramic material enhances UV protection. Usually, heading up climbs, we'll fully unzip the jersey, channeling our inner Richard Virenque as he danced on the pedals up Mont Ventoux. The truth is, our climbs probably aren't as steep as what Spotted Dick rode, and as great as it feels to rock a jersey unzipped, it isn't the best for aerodynamics. Keeping it zipped up is not only faster, it offers more support through its second skin fit and the ventilated panels allow air to enter the jersey providing cooling. The rear is designed not to sag even when the three pockets are filled up with all the necessaries for a long day on the bike, and the reflective piping along the lower hem helps with visibility if you're chasing the sun on the way back home.

  • Giordana's lightest jersey made for the hottest days
  • Woven ceramic material offers UV protection
  • Ventilated panels offer breathability
  • Three rear pockets haul food and gear
  • No sag mesh back is perfect for long climbs

Great for hot, humid Texas weather

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

This is the best jersey I've found for 93 degrees in the sun with 55% humidity. My only gripe is that I wish the front panel had been made with the same fabric as the back. The front tends to hold moisture until you get over 20mph at which point you get great cooling. If you're fast probably won't bother you.

Pair it with the same bib for best results.

6'1" 180lb. Got the large in the jersey and the XL in the bib. I have a long torso and the smaller bib would have been too short in the straps. The rest of it fits great.

Very Snug fit

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

Like the jersey, particularly in hot, humid weather of South FL however, at 5'11" and 190lbs. the size L was super snug, as in tighter than any other normal "race fit" jersey and about 2 inches shorter than any jersey I've ever owned from any manufacturer. The grey color is also "see through" once you sweat or get rained on, hence the 4 stars. This jersey's L is right in between a true Large and a true Medium.
Just FYI, you may need to size up or down depending on your height & weight.

Best summer jersey I own

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Living in North Carolina I've started to accumulate a number of summer-weight jerseys (most of the Velocio Airator kind). I wanted to switch it up and picked up this for Girodona's rep as a quality brand. It has not disappointing so far. If there were more colors i'd be purchasing them.

I'm 6'0" 170 and a medium was perfect. When in doubt, size down.

What's your chest/waist measurement? I fall right in the middle of M and L.

Amazing Jersey

2nd Review After a Few Ride

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Small

My favorite jersey I've ever worn. Incredible. Amazing. Perfect fit. Breathable. I really like this jersey if you can't tell. Now down to brass tacks. The first thing I noticed about this jersey was the fit. Longer sleeves and perfect stretch for a nice form fit race cut. The front is a little shorter and the pockets in the perfect place in the riding position. The sleeves cover my biceps and have the perfect amount of compression to stay in place without a sausage effect. Feels great under the arm pits and the sides don't wrinkle when fit properly. Amazing jersey for warm weather.

That being said, it is a jersey for specific conditions. The jersey breathes very well and is slightly see through. Don't wear on cold days, do wear on humid days or long hot climbs. Enjoy the ride!

Tried On, Sweet Jersey, Fit Notes

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I only tried this jersey on, but I could tell immediately this will be a nice summer jersey. Super lightweight breathable material. Fit is a little longer than most other race fit jersey I have tried, in the torso but especially in the sleeves. Nice locking zipper and the pockets are supported and will hold items snug. Great jersey. Highly recommend.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
