FR-C Pro Bib Tight

Designed for the pros, made just for you, the Giordana FR-C Pro collection consistently sets the bar for technical advancement and these Bib Tights are no exception. They use a combination of innovative tech and performance fabrics to contour perfectly to your body, forming a second skin that not only makes every movement natural and comfortable, but also adapts to your output and bolster support where you need it.

Stretchable, breathable, and stabilizing bib uppers keep your chest wrapped in wicking and well-ventilated comfort, while HC50 High Compression Power Lycra has the properties and material structure of a compressive power Lycra, yet its soft and supple feel provides a barely there sensation on the bike. Windproof front panels offer optimal protection even in the colder climates, and the Ametista Core Contour System uses carbon threads to fight bacteria and electro-static interference, as well as boost comfort. A Cirro Chamois gives you impact-absorbing protection that smoothes out what would otherwise be painful chatter to keep you riding happily all-day long. Plus, the ankles help maintain fit with zippers that let you unzip to pull the tights on over your feet but then zip closed to help eliminate any gaps

  • Performance-driven bib tight worthy of pro-level racing
  • Compressive fabrics provide support over long miles
  • Abrasion-resistant seat panel prolongs the short's lifespan
  • Ametista Carbon waist panel offers lightweight support
  • Supportive chamois protects against harsh impact
  • Soft supportive mesh used in bib upper add breathability
  • Reflective accents offer heightened visibility

Giordana FR-C Pro Bib Tight - PERFECTION

The Giordana FR-C Pro Bib Tights are perfect for me, and exactly what I needed for winter rides out here in the San Francisco Bay Area. While the typical daytime winter temps out here don't often get below 40° F, the early mornings can be quite chilly especially when combining a wind chill factor. And summits on some of the higher hills can feel very cold. These bib tights don't have a lot of insulating material, but perform quite well in these temps without becoming too warm as the temps rise throughout the day. I have not ridden out in the rain while wearing these, so I can’t comment on their wet weather riding capabilities.
I prefer bibs and tights that are made with a compression type fabric, and these meet that requirement without being tight and uncomfortable in those ummm, certain places. I also really like the wide shoulder straps that provide good support and are comfortable as well. For me, the most important part of any bib/tights is the chamois, and I find the chamois on these to be comfortable on long rides, without causing any chafing or sore areas, and I don't use any type of chamois cream. These tights have an ankle zipper which makes putting on a bit easier.
I have owned many pairs of bib tights over the years and in my opinion I can honestly say these are the best I have ever used. Now, for the most important question, socks over the tights, OR tights over the socks? Well, for wearing these that have ankle zippers, definitely the tights over the socks to prevent the zipper from chafing the skin.
