Cut a clean silhouette.

When late-season weather truly becomes inconvenient — we're talking rain and wind, not just a brisk fall morning — most kit abandons its sense of tailoring and style to instead address all-out protection from the elements. It should come as no surprise to you that Giordana eschews this trend, creating the Giordana AV Bib Tight as a stylish way to stay dry and insulated in cooler weather. It starts with renowned SuperRoubaix fabric cut in a form-fitting, cycling-specific silhouette. The stretchy fabric excels at moisture management, and it also features a soft brushed interior that maintains a lofted layer of heat next to your skin to keep your muscles warm in cold temperatures.

Atop Roubaix, Giordana adds its revamped Acqua Zero membrane, which repels water and wind as you ride and continues to insulate, even if a sudden storm hits and causes it to soak through. Even while it repels the elements, the fabric and its additional membranes pull moisture away from your skin to aide in temperature management as you climb and descend. Since dim light accompanies rainy days, Giordana employs highly reflective Pixel panels along the lower legs, aiming to use pedaling movement to catch the attention of motorists. Zippered cuffs make getting dressed and undressed a simple endeavor, and Giordana's capable Cirro S Chamois adds anatomically correct support and breathable cushioning as you log mileage for hours along wet roads.

  • Confront rainy days in style in this weatherproof tight
  • Form-fitting silhouette lends classic style in the saddle
  • Water- and wind-resistant treatment keeps you dry and warm
  • Brushed inner fabric adds breathable warmth and insulation
  • Highly reflective panels along lower legs for visibility

REALLY GOOD but not perfect. 4-1/2 stars

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

No need to buy this year‘s version. I called Giordana and I was told that they have not significantly changed his product in the last three years. THEREFORE SAVE THE $150 and buy this version! I am 6’1” and 220 lbs. The XL fits fine. I took it for a 25 mile ride today. 25° and 15° with the windchill. I was truly impressed about how warm I was at the knees and throughout most of my body. The reason I did not give it five stars is because when climbing, and standing up, there was coldness above the crotch and below the belly button. The fabric is much thinner there. Nevertheless, they were warmer than my Assos Fugu bib tights that cost MUCH MORE. Very happy with this purchase!

Very nice tights with a nice chamois

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I tried these on in the retail store and loved them. Can't wait for mine to arrive. The zips around the ankle and the one on the stomach make getting these on a breeze. Zip them back and the fit is snug and comfortable. Not too much going on with seams, gives the tights clean lines and plenty of mobility. The fleece like liner on the inside is very comfortable and warm.

The chamois is also much nicer than I have experienced on other tights, in various other brands. Please let me know if you have any questions; igonder@backcountry.com or 801-619-7476

Not what I expected

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: L

I'm a big Giordana fan and was looking to replace my FRC bib tights which have used for years. I ordered the same size (L) in the AV's but found them short in the leg and not as snug as the FRC's around the waist/groin area, consequently the more bulky chamios just didn't sit right.
I was a little disappointed and returned before using. Also the one of the leg seems was coming undone after a couple of try ons, hopefully this is not an indication of falling quality.

It's seams, not 'seems'.
