A light and efficient backcountry tool.

A lighter, sleeker, and more packable version of G3's flagship Alpinist skin, the Aplinist LT Climbing Skins are the ideal solution for weight-conscious skiers who don't want to sacrifice performance. They are still made with G3's proprietary Premium Plush nylon material, which is treated with a Ultra Glide finish as well as a hydrophobic coating to keep them fast, smooth, and ice-free on the skintrack.

New for this season is the Removable Rip Strip. This strip reduces skin-to-skin adhesion to make it easier to pull your skins apart, and if the glue on your skins gets contaminated on an epic tour, you can remove the strip for extra adhesion. The Alpinist LTs are the lightest in G3's line thanks to a newly redesigned tail clip, which shaves a few extra grams from their overall weight. The camming tail clip can now be adjusted in length by 16cm, so they'll more easily fit between different skis in your quiver. The skins come with G3's easy to use trim tool, as well as a skin wallet to keep their glue clean and sticky for the ascent.

  • Lighter and more packable version of G3's Alpinist skins
  • Premium Plush material is light and glides well
  • LT tail clip saves precious grams
  • Removable Rip Strip preserves glue adhesion
  • Laminated tip connector for secure, low-profile connection
  • Waterproofing treatment is PFOA-free

How long is the actual skin?

Hey Georgina, the length of the skins is going to depend on what size you get! I attached the sizing chart here to help. If you have any other questions on what size skin to get, you can reach me at 801.204.4547 or cojohnson@backcountry.com. Best, Connor
