I have seen fit described and being small or exact. How does the fit compare to the Keb trousers? Thanks for any insight.

Hey Rob, the fit across Fjallraven's line should be very similar. They are a Euro fit brand so they tend to fit a bit more slim than other brands that use an American fit model. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to me directly via the information listed above.

A Great Purchase

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 40 inch

After using these for outdoor adventures I will not be using any other brand. This was my first Fjallraven purchase, I was looking for pants that would take a beating but also keep me cool. The material is strong but it is also breathable which is a plus because I overheat very easily. I like the double material over the areas that see more movement or abrasion. The amount of pockets are amazing, I am able to carry all that I need AND the design makes it look slim. The only issue I had was ordering the size. I wear a 36 inch waist in pants but I had to order the 40 inch waist for these pants because the thighs were too small. At the bottom of the legs they even have buttons that allow you to tighten the cuff around your boots, but looking at them you do not notice it.

Another Great Fjallraven Product

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 50

Yet again, a great product from Fjallraven. The durability of these is not in question at all. I have beat mine up and they are still showing to signs of wearing down at all. I do have big thighs, so the front pockets are a bit tight getting my hands into and there aren't any back pockets, but the multiple cargo pockets solves both of those issues. I would highly recommend these pants if you're looking for a burly pair of trousers.

Great all around trousers

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 50 (US 33/34) long

Size wise these things are great. I have long legs for my waist (35" inseam) and they fit perfect, and move well. The pockets are exceptional, now I miss not-having them on other pants. They're rugged as hell, and can do a day in the field (construction work) and follow it into the office for a meeting. I wouldn't prefer to climb in them (they make stretchy pants for that) but one could. The belt tabs lay flat so are pretty comfortable under a pack waistbelt. I'm amazed at how unfazed the fabric is after hard work with abrasive materials.

Noting: the Fjalraven "Barents Pro Trouser" is pretty much the same pant, with an unhemmed (so even longer) inseam; and the "Barents Pro Pant" is the jeans cut version (sans cargo pockets), also unhemmed/longer. Equally awesome, and the BPP can be worn a bit dressy (or not).

...Not hot weather pants, this G1000 fabric

Long legs no problem!

I purchased these for my boyfriend who is 6'1 and lanky as all hell. Love him though (: They fit him really well with some room for excessive movement for hiking and climbing.

Great Pant For Work and Outdoor

The quality and durability of this pant is unmatched. I can go from working in the yard to a cold winter hike in these without thinking twice. The stitching and material is top notch. Pockets are plentiful and in great locations. Recommend these to all my friends!

Bought as a gift

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I loved all my Fjallraven pants so much I decided to spoil a family member with a pair of their own. They share the same love for the pants as I do Fjallraven is a quality company making exceptional products I have not been disappointed with anything I have bought from them.

Tough pants that run a little small

Boyfriend Loves It

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 32

I bought these pants for my boyfriend, it is now his go-to everyday pants for pretty much everything adventure and travel, and it looks damn good on him. The only complaint he has is the waterproof-ability. A day riding in the rain and he's soaked. A simple spill though, and he's dry. He loves the pockets and stores pretty much his life inside his pants.

I've been using these pants alot lately for a mountain bike league course setup. They hold up to mud and did awesome in the rain last weekend. Keep you warm and dry and no shortage of pockets, except back ones.

Wow these pants!!

I just received them and opened up the package like a little kid in a candy store, excited to experience these pants that, until now, I had only seen a picture of online. And I haven't done anything yet except sit on the couch but I can tell immediately the fabric is so durable it will probably last a lifetime. The pockets are placed perfectly and the snaps seem extremely well constructed, I love the reinforced seat and knees and the color, olive, so sharp looking, almost military. I cannot wait to wear these in the woods. Slowly but surely I'm going to add more Fjallraven apparel to my currently lacking recreational wardrobe.

    Not for ladies

I'm 6'1 and 145 lbs. Needless to say, I have a hard time finding pants long enough. These would have been fine, (size 29 ), however the inseam would have been marginally too short if they shrank and there was too much empty space in the crotch area. Would probably work great for a dude though!

These are the long version - We have Reg

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's important to know that the Vidda Pro pants and Trousers we have listed are the same. The difference is these pants are a longer inseam and the trousers are regular fit.
If you're 6' and under you'd probable want to go with the trousers.

These are my new favorite pants for hiking in cooler weather, and I'm definitely looking forward to testing them out in hunting season next fall/winter.

The fit is spot on. I usually wear a 36, and ordered a 37 just to make sure I had plenty of mobility for my big butt. I think I could go to a 36, but I'm keeping the 37 to leave room for tucking in a couple layers.

      A Rare Near-Perfect Fit

      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: EU 52

I have purchased a lot of different pants from a lot of different brands. Finding durable hiking pants that fit me is a serious pain. I went out on a whim and bought these on sale with a gift card. Ultimately, I spent no money. But I would be writing the same favorable review if I had.

Fit: I have a 36'' inseam. These pants are measured at exactly a 35.5'' inseam, if I recall correctly. For me, this means that they cover the length of my legs, bunch up just a tad over my foot, and don't slip under my heel. The crotch is not baggy like Carhartts, but it's not offensively tight like Mountain Khaki's "Broadway Fit" pants. The seat is a bit baggy with no base layers, but I did purchase a EU 52 when I would normally purchase a EU 50. I had heard from some that the waist size tends to run a bit small. It does. If I had bought the EU 50, I am not sure I would be comfortable in the waist area. Regardless, I now have room for layering.

The knees are articulated. The pants tend to move with you rather than hinder your movement. I can step up onto a large boulder and feel no pressure in the knees, crotch, or seat. It's a welcome relief as most pants don't offer this.

Function: There are so many pockets I don't what to do with them all. The pockets are well built, with snaps. They are deep and functional for whatever you decide to put in them. There is even one that can accommodate a map. As a shout out to the designer of these pants, there are no pockets in bad spots. Even if you are sitting in a vehicle, you can reach the pockets without twisting and turning.

The knees and seat have reinforced layers of fabric. The knees also accommodate knee pads. I appreciate this, as most hiking pants tend to wear out in these areas rather quickly.

The bottom of the pants have a hook to attach to your laces or a d-ring on your boots. And they cinch up around the cuff to act as a built-in pair of gators.

The dry quickly, despite having a bit of cotton in them. You can buy the "Greenland Wax" and wax the pants for a waterproof finish. I haven't done this, so I won't comment on its effectiveness. Though I will say they are water repellent and quick drying right out of the box.

Durability: I haven't beat these pants up yet, but I have been given no reason to question their ability to hold up to years of abuse. All of the stitching feels solid, the material is tough, yet light, and the articulated knees keep your body from putting tremendous friction on the fabric.

It seems to me that companies are increasingly developing products that look the part, but don't stand up to the abuse. Stitching is weak, the product shrinks in the wash, the fit was made for a cliche stocky midwesterner, etc. At this point, I feel that these pants do not follow the tendency of dumbing down outdoor equipment.

I am very happy with the (free) purchase.

In the photo you can see the length of the pants is just about perfect. What you can't see is that the pants have just the right amount of "bunch up" over my boot.

A heavy duty trouser designed for trekking and general outdoor use. These pants are tough, well thought out and reliable in whatever conditions mother nature throws at you. The fabric, Fjallraven’s legendary G-1000 fabric, is strong and well built. Like a Toyota truck, these pants are made to last the test of time. These trousers have plenty of pockets for anything you might need on the trail. With reinforcements in the knees and seat you won’t have any trouble getting dirty rough while out in the wild.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about these pants.

      Nice pants but TOO SHORT!!

No way to choose "long" as an option from the website/app, making it necessary to call and place the order by phone. And the longs are only.... maybe a 34" inseam. Sigh. The waist is accurate. I'm a 6' tall girl and have resigned to wearing men's pants. On the plus side the pants are very well made.

        Vidda Pro Long

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 34 US/50 EU

Bought a pair of Sitka Timberline pants in 34 long for a backpack hunt and they were way too short for me (I wear a 36 inseam). I returned them and decided to give these a whirl. As someone else had mentioned in their review, it's rare to buy something blind and be happy with the purchase but these pants are fantastic. They fit as if they were tailored for me and seem to be really well constructed. I like that they don't have back pockets because if you're sitting on your can glassing for hours the extra seams from pockets can get uncomfortable. I never write reviews but it's so hard to find any pants that fit a 36 inseam, much less hunting clothes. I'm very impressed and definitely recommend them to my lanky brethren!
