Ok, but the hood!

Jacket is nice but the hood is too baggy and there is no drawcord adjustment, its a tight fit like most fjallraven jackets. I’m a 34 waist and large only just fits! It's definitely time for fjallraven to work on.. 1. Zips 2. Sizing 3. Drawcords on all hoods

Great light jacket

I've had this for 2 years now, and I'm just now seeing any issues (zipper). This was my first item from Fjallraven, so I was new to the whole upkeep process with G-1000 materials. Understand that this is not a heavy storm/foul weather jacket. It works great for limited exposure to rain. It will keep you dry, only if you maintain the wax layer. I'm 6'1" and about 190lbs and the Medium fits snuggly, not any room for layering.

Well made, but not for wet weather at all

A well made but very basic jacket, unlined, no hood adjustment. It works well in spring and early autumn days, without rain. First time I got caught in a shower I got soaked, fabric wetted out immediately and seams are open.

Pretty Great

I am 5'10" in height and 155 lbs for reference, purchased a size L. This jacket suits pretty much any situation I need it for. The fit is awesome throughout and the sleeves are the perfect length to slightly cover my hands. The shape and size of the hood is perfect in my opinion. The fit allows for me to wear base layers, a hoodie, and a thinner insulation layer fairly comfortably. I have heavily waxed the hood and shoulders on this jacket and lightly waxed the rest. While still not 100% waterproof, I was genuinely impressed with the performance. I walked through a renaissance faire for a full day in medium rain and only the sleeves near my wrists wetted through slightly. One drawback to the jacket are the sleeve cuffs, I wish they were elastic or had more snap adjustment points. I love to push my sleeves up and the two buttons are either too small to use with the inner layers or too big to keep my sleeves retained higher. This is a minor nitpick and I would definitely recommend the Sten.

Love it

This is a great jacket and was exactly what I was looking for. I’ve had the opportunity to wear it through some light rain (no wax applied) and it performed well. I’m 5’11, 195lbs with longer arms and the size M is almost perfect. It’s a little tight through the chest, but the sleeves and everything else are on point.

Great Jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Perfect for wearing around town. Rugged enough to resist weather and comfortable / stylish to wear everyday.

Nice jacket, however…

I really like this jacket - it’s a nice slim fit, made from good quality fabric and with minimal branding. Overall it looks really nice! However, what it is it with this company and their TERRIBLE zips!! I have two jackets and they both have the worst zips that always get stuck. I have only had this jacket for a few weeks and I have had to shimmy out of it a few times just to get the zip unstuck. Come on guys, sort this issue out!! I can’t be the only one having this problem…

Great starter jacket in the Fjällräven lineup

This was the first ever jacket I've bought from this company and I loved it right off the bat. It has a sleek and stylish look and serves for multiple seasons. As for water resistance, its ok at repelling water so it's worth getting the Greenland wax that they sell and add a few more coats especially over the seams to ensure before your adventures. But Overall the sten jacket is an excellent piece to have in your closet for adventures and even general use!

Not really waterproof

This is a smart looking windproof jacket, but it really isn't waterproof without additional waxing. In a heavy British rainstorm in London it became completely sodden in five minutes. Even the seams of the hood let water through. Don't rely on this jacket to to protect you.

My go-to

Love this jacket's simple, effective design. It works well as a spring or summer shell and the waxed fabric does an excellent job at keeping the wind and rain out even though it's not rated as waterproof. In the fall and early phases of winter I'll wear a down mid layer to insulate my body heat and throw this guy over to protect from the elements. I get so much wear out of this jacket I might have to pick up another color!
