Hiangle Climbing Shoe

Powerfully pink, the Five Ten Women's Hiangle Climbing Shoe is aggressively downturned to optimize your performance on overhung boulders and demanding routes. Despite its aggression, the Hiangle is a slightly comfier option than most downturned shoes. Its leather upper is unlined to allow customized stretching, and a single-strand hook-and-loop strap gives that quick-and-secure on-and-off that boulderers look for. This climbing shoe features Five Ten's original Stealth C4 rubber covering a moderately stiff platform that allows a technical performance on vertical, crimpy routes as well as overhangs.

Two Versions

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought two pairs in size 6.5, one order in August 2022 and the other in January 2023. The ones I received in August were still the old version, two stripes on the side heel. I was excited to find out that the old versions were still out there in the world, so seeing another available pair in January, I jumped. The one in I received in January were unfortunately the updated, newer version, three stripes on the side heel, made in China. The "new" pink Hiangles are quite frankly trash. The fit is awful and actually causes sharp pain to run through my foot. I can barely feel any power going through my toes. The toebox actually sits higher and is extremely stiff compared to the old ones. There's also a lot of dead space in the shoe. I've worn Hiangles and 5.10s for almost 9 years and this was sadly the only place I thought I could find them again. If you're someone searching for the old stuff, this isn't it.

Itty Bitty Teeny Tiny Shoes

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I ordered a half size up from my street shoe size and I would need at least a full size larger to fit my feet into this shoe. I wear a size 6 street shoe and ordered a 6.5 climbing shoe for reference. The shoes are very firm and the aggressive toe downturn is appealing, but ALAS I could not get my feet into these little slippers.

Thanks for giving me this very precious chance of experiencing a pair of Hiangle with its right one at least 5 millimeter smaller than its left one, given that the left one should be of the standard size; I have been rock climbing since 2004 and wore 5.10 since 2005 and I never got such unexpected privilege from the 10 previous “non-Adidas” 5.10s. This poor quality is because Adidas had these shoes made in Qingyuan City, Guangdong, China and their quality control is just as poor as their quality itself. Sincerely, a used-to-be loyal customer of 5.10

onto my second pair

love these shoes! usually wear a size 8.5 and ordered these in size 9, so size up! they are meant to be very snug and a little uncomfortable at first, but they are max=zing after you break them in.

amazing aggressive climbing shoes! Sticky Rubber! a bit odd on the sizing but once you find the right size they are amazing.
