Dragon VCS Climbing Shoe

Five Ten originally designed the Dragon VCS Climbing Shoe with input from some of the strongest, most imaginative boulderers around, and now it's back for new seasons of challenging projects and first ascents. This climbing shoe's downturn is more aggressive than most of Five Ten's climbing shoes, and its combination of a stiff toe and forgiving heel provides a stable, supportive platform for steep to overhung terrain. The Stealth HF rubber sole optimizes grip on the same terrain. Five Ten made the upper out of soft microfiber for reduced stretching, and the extended toe rand excels at toe hooking.

Definitely size up unless you like painful toes

Great shoe really grippy. I sized up which meant they are a little wide as my feet are narrow but easily adjusted with the 2 Velcro straps which helps a lot compared to other style with just one.

Great Shoes

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I mainly use this shoes for indoor bouldering. I wear 9.5 street size shoes, and I got the Dragons at 10 . They were perfect for the first few sessions until the streched out, I wish I had ordered the 9.5 size. Still, great performing shoes for bouldering, the toe and heel hooks are fantastic.

I've been using dragons for years and thought I'd try the Velcro. I prefer the lace-up but these were still great shoes

Great steep edger

Familiarity:

Super good steep bouldering shoe, also nice for steeper limestone and such.. similar to the lace up, but feels a bit stiffer to me, with a stronger edge. Really easy off n on, and comfy for such a high performance shoe. Great heel hooker, like the lace, without the hassle. Again, microfiber is awesome.

I would buy again

I went a size up, know that my friends who went to same as the shoes size struggled to break them in. Even a size up it was work to break them in. Would if you want comfort maybe two sizes up would be for you.

Excellent product but check the size twice

I love this product, note that it is a quite type of shoe and that you might need to have 1 or 2 sizes bigger than your usual shoes size. I used to wear 43.5 and I was feeling it was way too tight in a 45 1/3, i could barely pass the shoe, 45 2/3 could be okay but I prefer a bit of comfort, so I went for the size 46 !! So just get the size you like the most and you will love it.

I love these bouldering/sport climbing here in SLC and in the gym as well! They really won't stretch once you get them. I am usually an 8.5 street shoe, and got an 8.5 in these as well. They fit tight for sure, but I love the close fit. I feel like I can edge on anything now.

Good traction - size up!

Great climbing shoes, trusty sticky c4, been out a few times outdoor bouldering with these - definitely too tight for all day wear. Had to keep taking these off between climbs to give my toes a reprieve. Size up at least 1/2 size.
