Wearing quickly

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 10

Shoe fits great and is extremely comfortable, that being said I’ve done a bunch of hiking in these in the month I’ve had them along with some riding. They are coming apart quickly. The stitching on the end of the toes I blew through in the first couple weeks and the “Stealth” on the bottom is already missing a couple letters on each shoe. Not sure how long these will last.

Comfy all around shoe out of the box. My feet are on the narrow side.

Throw Away Your Clipless Pedals

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 10

Pair this shoe with a pair of platform pedals and you'll stick like gum to the bottom of your shoe. I bought these over the free rider shoes because I needed more arch support. I bikepack a lot and these are very comfortable hiking. Plus they look good for everyday use. Get a half to a full size larger. I wear 9.5's usually and bought 10's.

Just What You Need

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

If you're in the market for a great looking shoe that will perform in all areas of adventuring, this is a great option. Whether you're hiking, biking, climbing or scavenging the islands of Thailand; this shoe will keep you happy and looking snazzy for a long long time.

Great hiking/everyday/biking shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had these shoes for about the past 2 years. I almost never wear anything else. I can hike 10 miles in these and then go out with friends after. No need for a more comfortable shoe. They grip all terrain very well and clean easy. I still have not worm the sole completely after all the abuse. I will be buying my second pair soon. This shoe requires a little break in period. After it breaks into your foot, you will see what I mean!

I'll put it right up front, order a half size larger. I wanted a shoe that I could scorch the typical Arizona trail, part loose rock part scramble. It's the perfect shoe for me. Please don't write a review or make up your mind until you break it in properly, all really great shoes need a little time on your feet and then and only then do you find their greatness. The Five Ten Access is just one of those shoes. When you first try them on you might think you made a mistake but lace-um and go for a walk and you won't to take them off. It also helps you to feel good about your purchase when strangers ask you about your shoes as you're sitting in a restaurant. I'm fifty eight years old and have lived through the bridge from the Norwegian welt to the modern shoe. Five Ten (adidas) has made a truly a great shoe.
