Supra Climbing Shoe

If the Evolv Men's Supra Climbing Shoe can't stick to that greasy, basically non-existent foothold on your project, then nothing can. Picture the day you finally slip the Supra on for that project you've been slipping off of since the day you started climbing it. You have harder grades under your belt than this measly project, and the amount of flailing has taken your frustrations to levels that you didn't imagine possible. You know every edge and gradation on that greasy, slippery foothold, and watching the Supra smear it brings you newfound confidence. Sure this shoe helps you get past that, but unfortunately the crux is the top-out, so you have a whole new problem to suss out for years to come.

Vert & Slab Edging Dream

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Overall Impression: STIFF & PRECISE ------ The Supra is an high performance edging shoe designed for vertical and moderately off-vert terrain. It is genuinely stiff thanks to a rigid midsole & the thick full length trax xe edging rubber on the outsole. This creates a very supportive edging platform, making powering off of tiny chips and crystals a dream. Coupled with it's pointed toe and semi-aggressive fit, these factors will (require) and reward highly precise footwork - meaning the Supra will give it's best performance outdoors on techy face climbs, slabby boulders, and hard trad routes. Excellent for toeing-in / frontpointing / & reachy inside edging. ---------- What it's *not* designed for: Gymnastic Indoor Bouldering / Volume & Sloper focused climbs / Significant Overhangs / Your first shoe --------- Fit: Aggressive yet Comfortable ------- The Supra fits moderately aggressive worn true-to-size (despite being flat), and is designed to be worn this way. Though the toes are focused and curled for edging performance at this size, the overall flat shape and construction of the shoe make it comfortable to wear for longer periods of time compared to other models in the "high edging performance" category. A half size in either direction would accommodate size tweaks for comfort or performance as needed, but true to street size is likely spot-on ------- Toe Box: asymmetrical and fairly pointed ------ Volume: Moderate ------- Width: Medium-Narrow ------- *Heel: Shallow-Narrow* ------- Comparable to: La Sportiva - Miura Lace / Miura VS (but with a more intricate construction & ergonomic fit) ------ Would make an *excellent* 2 shoe performance quiver paired with something soft & downturned i.e. sportiva solutions / tenayas / scarpa furias etc. ------- REPEAT: AWESOME STIFF TECH-CLIMBING SHOE !
