Let them know you ride ENVE.

ENVE's road handlebars are an easy choice if you're looking for that crowning touch on any road, 'cross, or gravel build. Its well-engineered design lends an extremely lightweight build at 205 grams, that’s been held by riders wearing the polka-dot jersey, proven stiff enough for the high wattage romps to the finish by the Manx Missile, and strong enough for Eddy the Boss at Co. over the cobbles of Roubaix. If we had only one niggle with the bar it's that its understated aesthetic doesn't really stand out enough and show the world the bars you chose and in recent years, much like the Model T, you could have any color you wanted as long as it's black. Well, we managed to get a hold of some of its Limited Edition Road Handlebars and if you want to add a touch of Gold or Light Blue to your bike's mix with all of the ENVE quality still intact, look no further.

When creating the shape of its road handlebars, ENVE didn't succumb to bizarre angles and tapers in the name of the industry buzzword de jour, 'ergonomics.' Instead, it simply made a bar that feels great in your hands. The 127mm drop and 79mm reach allows for easy shifter/brake lever placement and encourages using the drops more often. Grooves are present to tuck in the brake and shifter housing into, so after wrapping the bars in your tape of choice, they go unnoticed. The final design worth a mention is the integrated bar end plugs which offer a clean finish at the ends and drastically reduces the chance of lost plugs saving you from the chagrin of an overzealous USAC official at the line of a mass start event.

These limited edition ENVE road handlebars are available in three sizes from 40 to 44cm center-to-center at the hoods while the drops flare 2cm wider in each size. The clamp diameter is for 31.8mm stems.

It's Enve

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

you know it is good when it says Enve, right?
The only drag is the internal routing is kind of tough for disc brake routing, but not impossible. Don't let that discourage.

Unanswered Question

Can you start posting photos of the bars straight from the side and front? I can't tell much from these oblique angles. The view from straight above does help. Thanks!

Excellent deal for top shelf

Great handle bar upgrade especially while sale. Solid!

Great bars

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

As I have enjoyed these on my other road bike, I had to immediately get them for my new ride. Couldn't pass on the sale price, essentially saving $100+ only to have a very small "Ltd Edition" gold decal, that is completely hidden behind my stem clamp. Taped up with Lizard Skin 2.5 tape is my preference.
Having a "replaced" shoulder, the dampening is appreciated. I'm sensitive to the width of bars, and glad that the 42cm size is a true 42cm on top (44 in the drops). The dual grooves for cable routing also make install simple. In the era of hydraulic brakes, internal routing is a PITA to me. Only suggested improvement would be to have the bars "marked" such that aligning the shifters were easier.
