A small device that does big things.

Edelrid's Micro Jul Belay Device is light and compact, but it's more than just a sleek package. Its full stainless steel construction ensures killer durability, the design lets you belay a leader or bring up two followers at once, and the small diameter of the device lets it work with super-thin double and twin ropes, including Edelrid's 6.9mm Flycatcher Rope.

6mm Line has a new best friend.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Rapping into a line with skinny twin lines? This thing is crucial - autolocking on rappel (never let go of that brake hand strand!) - it gives you piece of mind when everything around you is slippery, icy, and wet.

Weighs almost nothing, and does a great job at grabbing the rope!
