    EA70 Stem

Occasionally, cycling involves taking risks, but equipment should never be one. Especially when it's the stem, and when the risks you are taking involve sweeping descents just below the speed-wobble ceiling. With its reliable, sturdy EA70 alloy construction and a proven pedigree of performance, Easton's EA70 Stem is designed to ensure that stem failure is the least likely risk you encounter in the saddle.

    • A reliable stem for recreational cyclists
    • Alloy construction is as durable as cycling gets
    • 4-bolt faceplate disburses clamping pressure
    • Easton's Top-Lock technology helps grip bars without excess force

    Zero Degree Stem

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Wanted a 0 deg stem for my mountain bike. So far, after 5 rides, no issues.

    Nice stem

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like this Easton stem. It's light but doesn't seem underbuilt which is important when you think of what it is intended to do. I like the understated graphics because unless a company is paying me to advertise why should I have their logo jump out. It is also cool as it comes in a 90º option as most stems seem ot want you to have a 6º drop or a 6º rise which is sometimes too much. Finally, this stem has a cool bar mounting plate that instructs to take the top two bolts to the correct final torque and then position your bar where you like it under this tension before torquing down the bottom two bolts. It's a great system.

    It's a stem

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's one of the few zero degree rise stems available, so it's nice that it exists if you need one to dial in your fit. Clamps well, no issue with flexing. Seems a bit heavy, though. Went with the EA70 over the EA90 because the EA 70 is, quite frankly, the better looking of the two.
