The best camping hammock on the market!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
What a cool hammock! I've had a double-nest for a while now, and although I did get this TechNest to replace my old one I am instead keeping both. Let me tell you why:
My main use case of a packable hammock is hanging around with friends at a park or on a day hike. The double nest is perfect for this: it is wide, easy to sit in and remains open to the sky when lying down. If this is your main use case go with the double nest.
Where this one, the TechNest, succeeds is in its pack-ability. It is about half the size and weight of the double nest. Pairing this with the lightweight helios suspension system and you have an unbeatable combo for sleeping out on the trail. The hammock conveniently closes in above you when you lie down in the hammock, but isn't the most comfortable hammock to sit horizontally in.
Overall, an awesome hammock! I would recommend it any day of the week, but only for the use case I described. Other than that, get a doublenest and some atlas straps and you'll be set for everything else
