    The perfect duffel!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I did a ton of research before deciding on a duffel for my trek up Kilimanjaro. I needed something that would travel well as my primary suitcase, was sturdy enough to hold trekking poles, stretchy enough to fit “just one more” packing cube, weather proof in sand/sun/rain/snow, and that I could comfortably carry on my petite frame (5’, 105lbs). I continued to carry this duffel for 3 weeks after Kili and it hasn’t failed me. The construction is superb. The zippers and zipper “locks” are excellent. The backpack straps are comfortable and attach and reattach quickly and easily. The give of the fabric is perfect for cramming as much as humanly possible into the bag, and the end pockets are excellent for compartmentalizing goods. I cannot say enough about this duffel. An excellent purchase at twice the price.

    Durable and Versatile

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just used this duffel on a climbing trip to Tasmania. First off, it's super durable and uses heavy duty zippers. The next awesome feature is the two side compartments on either side of the main compartment. This made it super easy to keep our gear organized for the entire trip. Finally, the various load handles and backpack straps made it incredibly easy to transport and throw around. It's a fantastic duffel at a really good price. I can't wait to use it on my next trip.

    Seriously Impressed

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Every bit as capable as duffle/packs at double this price point. Checked under the plane twice where I'm sure it took a beating and no durability issues thus far. Giving the higher price duffles out there (you know who they are!) a run for their money, I am seriously impressed with zippers, materials and construction. Extra bonus that it packs into its own pocket!

    Super Versatile and Durable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used this bag for a bunch of different purposes - it works really well as a crag bag and also as a sleek and durable travel bag. I brought it on a recent surf trip to Baja and it held up really well as my everyday pack. The 60L size is perfect for a week's worth of clothes and has a bunch of pockets throughout to help keep things organized. I also love that the bag is mostly made with a water-resistant fabric, especially for using at the beach. If you want long-last, plenty of room and functionality, this is the bag for you!

From the trail to the airport

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've used this bag a bunch as my crag bag as well my main travel bag The bag has seemingly endless room where I store the bulk of my climbing gear. It fits my 70m rope, sport climbing rack, helmet, water bottle, and jacket with room to spare. There are also smaller compartments on the top and bottom that store my harness shoes and various things of that day. These top and bottom compartments are fairly large and help with organizing so you don't have to stuff everything in the big duffel compartment. To top all of that there are lash points on the outside that I believe are meant to tie down on your car, but can also be used to clip things on the outside of the bag. These straps are super durable and feel like they can hold a lot. The duffel style of this backpack makes grabbing things so much easier than the tradition top down crag bag. If you are travel for a week + bring this bag. It can hold so much, but can be carried with ease because of the padded backpack straps. I have had a lot of heavy things in this backpack and have hardly had any problems with discomfort. In general the bag feels feels really durable and with the lifetime warranty that Eagle Creek offers you can't go wrong.

    Awesome crag pack!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently went on a climbing trip to City of Rocks, Idaho and brought this pack with me! It is amazing!!! I fit SO much in this pack; my rope (70m), my harness, 12 quickdraws, anchor system, tons of carabiners, belay devices, climbing shoes, first aid kit, belay glasses, all my clothes for my trip, water, snacks, patagonia nano puff jacket, sweatshirt, and my helmet hanging off the side handles which can also be doubled to carry a trad rack if it isn't able to fit inside the pack. I know that seems nearly impossible but I promise it is real life!!!!! It was a little hard on a super long/ steep approach I did but that was only because of the weight of it, I really stuffed it! I am looking forward to the versatility of it, I feel like I can use it for climbing but also for traveling and other things! I recommend this bag for pretty much anything you need it for it will work!

    Awesome crag pack!
