    Tour 96 Speedskin

From dawn patrol pow laps to big days in the alpine, your Dynafit Tour 96 Speedskins enhance uphill efficiency so you can crush more terrain with enough gas in the tank to rip the descent. The mohair nylon blend glides like a dream on the skinner, and the waterproof membrane fights off snow buildup so you don't carry any extra weight up to the summit.

    • Climbing skins for tackling big terrain in the backcountry
    • Mohair nylon blend maximizes glide and has a solid feel
    • Waterproof membrane fights snow buildup
    • Pre-cut to Dynafit Tour 96 skis

    Sketchy and Unreliable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The parts that connect the skins to the tips and the tails have broken on a number of occasions, often when I was in remote areas. The rubber that connects the skin to the tip of the ski full-on ripped apart as I was putting the skin on the ski. I had to duct tape everything together in the backcountry. And both of the metal pieces that connect the skins to the tails of the skis also broke. I took them to MEC to get the rivets replaced and they did a good repair job which held but after the 3rd breakage I ended up sending them back. Just too dangerous to be in the backcountry with gear that is unreliable and not strong enough to do its job. Would not recommend these skins ever.

    Great for Technical Skinning

The Pomoca skins with the Dynafit tip attachment system is my favorite for technical skinning. The metal clip at the tail stays put during kick turns and the rubber tip attachment is quick and easy to use. The glue on my most recent pair of skins seems to be an improvement over previous years for cold weather use.

      Why go with anything else?

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm on my second setup pairing the Dynafit Beast 98 with these pre-cut Dynafit Speed Skins. They are perfectly precut and the front release attachment point is clutch for fast transitions (which ultimately means more skiing!). Nice glide and I haven't experienced issues with "snow balling" on warm/wet spring days. Of note, it does take a few days for the skins to break in. Like fine wine, they do perform better with age!
