Go beyond the campground.
If you wanted to sleep fifty yards from strangers, listen to babies cry all night, and smell your neighbors grilling steaks, you would have slept in your backyard, but when it's a true wilderness experience you crave, load up your Deuter Aircontact 65+10 Backpack and venture far and away from any developed campsite, road, or camp group. Deuter made sure this pack was comfortable enough to carry gear on the long haul by giving the pack its Aircontact back system, which basically consists of an x-frame for support, breathable padding, and air channels for ample ventilation.
Both the hips and shoulder straps are contoured for a comfortable fit and are lined with a 3D air mesh for superior comfort. In terms of features, the Aircontact is not lacking. The top lid is height-adjustable, a separate bottom compartment is ideal for storing a sleeping bag, and multiple gear loops can be used to carry everything from ice axes and carabiners to trekking poles and a fishing rod.

- Q & A
I am looking for a women's Deuter Aircontact 60+10. This is a women's, correct?
Hey Susan, this is actually not a women's pack. The women's versions will all be pictured with a flower on the pack. If you have any other question feel free to reach out to me directly via the information listed above.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
So if you are looking for a really lightweight pack look somewhere else. This pack is incredibly durable from the suspension system to the buckles to the zippers to the high denier fabric. I have used this pack all over the US but it was really put to the test in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area. I lived out of this pack for 4 months as i worked for the Forest Service working as a member of a trail crew. With sharp tools and heavy weight I needed a pack that would hold up to abuse. Even after years of abuse this pack has still held up and continues to preform after many other packs would have failed. If you are looking for a pack that will comfortably carry a heavy load and not sacrifice durability for weight this is the pack for you.
