Look good, feel great.
Forget about dress shoes that you can't wait to take off. Wear the Dansko Men's Wynn Shoe all day at work, and you'll still be comfortable enough to wear it all evening. A removable triple-density footbed adds to that comfort. Made with high-quality leather, the Wynn looks as good as it feels, and its rubber outsole delivers slip-resistance for long days spent on your feet.

Ready for a comfy day of work
Dansko Wynn in distressed leather.
Dansko's excellent soles are one of their positive attributes.
The distressed leather is prone to showing scratches and scuffs which I actually enjoy. The shoe has a more natural look because of it.

Dansko has been around for a while now. A couple first discovered similar clogs in a shop in Europe and decided to start making them. Now based in Pennsylvania, the company is 100% employee owned. The business has a high level of interest in good sustainable manufacturing out of green buildings.
Although I have been aware of the Dansko name, I have never owned a pair. I have friends and family who work in the medical field as nurses, PA's and so on. From them I have heard stories about how popular Dansko clogs and shoes are in industries where people spend a lot of time on their feet. While the strong reputation seems to be based on quality and comfort, let's be honest about the medical field's reasoning ...scrubs are basically pajamas ...clogs are basically more presentable and durable slippers. That is a positive comment by the way. Slippers are comfy!
After wearing my Dansko Wynn shoes for a month, I have found the footbed to be very comfortable. There is cushion and support at the same time. Softness can be misleading since many footbeds can pack down and, in essence, feel hard. Danskos are made with a triple density EVA molded footbed with good arch support. We humans spend a lot of time either on our backs sleeping or on our feet. With a bed mattress, support and layer composition become more critical for comfort than softness. Many of us might benefit from thinking about our shoes in a similar fashion. Dansko makes footbeds with layers that support and cushion. This has helped my feet feel good after long days in these shoes.
As good as the footbeds are, if you require orthotics, these Wynn shoes and other Dansko clogs have removable footbeds.
I can't say that I have put these through the ringer yet. However, from initial inspection and a month of use, these shoes have a solid quality feel and look. The construction is great. The leather uppers are thick and nicely finished.
It is proudly stated that Dansko soles have good grip and are very resistant to slipping. This feature is probably taken for granted by many; but, would be greatly appreciated on hard slick floors or during wet winter months. I concur with Dansko's claim. The Wynn shoes I am wearing have a very nice grippy sole.
The PU midsole offers additional cushioning. The rockered bottom feels good when walking. The sole is rigid enough to hold the rocker shape and actually rolls when you walk onto your toes.
In the end, the best thing I can say about the Dansko Wynn shoe is that it feels like a quality made product that I believe will last and hold shape for a long time. It has a comfortable footbed and good sole to make me happy while I try to wear them out. Also, they have no laces. Even my shoes with laces are left loose enough to be slipped on.
It is quality and comfort that make these so popular with folks who spend all day on their feet. I have heard many people preach about how the price tag is worth it. So far they are on track.
I would give them 5 stars on my first month's assessment. I only have one con that seems worthy to note. I have a narrow foot. The toe box in the Wynn seems to be fairly roomy. That being said, Dansko does offer other shoes in both wide and narrow versions as well as standard widths. The "Professional" has a different sole and looks more like a classic Clog toward the rear. That being said, the front of the shoe is similar. Style-wise they should fit the same tastes in my opinion.
As for looks, you either like them or you don't. They are by no means a slim little shoe. They may even be considered clunky for some people ...they are clogs. But, if you like the style and you spend a lot of your day on your feet, this may just be your new favorite shoe.

- Sizing Notes:
- Dansko shoes are sized according to European whole size standards. The comparable US size range is shown above.
- Fit may be slightly snug when stepping in. Toes should not touch the front of the clog. Heel should move up and down freely as you walk. A variety of closed-back styles, offering such design features as buckles and elastic are added to styles as a design feature to accomodate both high and low insteps.
