Rover Mitten
Critical warmth.
Serious cold requires serious gloves. Like the Dakine Rover Mitt, for example. Warmth is provided by 350g PrimaLoft insulation, which makes these things one of the warmest sets of mittens you can slip your digits into. The wool liner only helps on that front, not only keeping you warm, but fighting funky odors all season long. It doesn't mean a thing if you're wet though, so there's a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable insert to manage moisture. The palm is made from leather for durability, while the rest of the shell is a blend of hard wearing leather, and stretchy softshell. The gauntlet cuff is just as effective pulled over your jacket as it is tucked under the cuff. If you're venturing onto the coldest mountains around, the Rover mitt is precisely the protection you need.
