DAKINEBoundary Short - Men's

Push the limits.

Mountain biking is all about progression—Remember how that little step-down used to scare the bejeezus out of you?—so you better have gear like the DAKINE Boundary Men’s Shorts, which are as eager to push the limits as you are. The Boundary is as happy going up as it is shredding down. It’s made from light and stretchy but rugged polyester and spandex with reinforced stitching that doubles down on durability in the spots you need it most. Mesh vents on the inner legs pull in much-needed air when you’re busting a lung up an exposed climb, and the inner waist adjustment is the perfect way to make room for that post-shred burrito.

Perfect Minimalist MTB Short

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 34 & 36

These shorts are sleek, light, breathable, and stretchy. I typically wear a size 34 and found the fit to be too tight. I bumped up to a 36 and they fit perfect. The waistband has velcro tabs to tighten the waistband as needed. If you are looking for a lightweight short with a trim / tailored fit, these are the way to go! We will see how they hold up...

I agree Ray, these run a tad small so sizing up is not a bad idea. Hope you are enjoying the fall riding!

MDO Rider

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I recently purchased this short. It is very light weight and is my new best favorite short to wear. I sweat a lot and the fabric in this short stretches, breathes, and is super light weight, but not too light. My only complaint is that there could be one more pocket. Just one on the thigh is not enough.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

Thankfully I prefer a slimmer cut baggy short. They stretch in all the right places and are overall comfortable. I wear a pair of road bibs underneath since these dont have a chamois. Good, but not great shorts.

Slimmer Fit, not necessarily small

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 34

I bought these in my standard size 34. They fit great for riding Cross Country and Trail. If you're looking for a short to cover you knee pads or for mostly gravity fed riding, definitely size up or try a different short. These have a slim fit but the waist size was pretty much spot on for me. I appreciate the tighter fit as I'm able to move freely without getting caught up on anything.

Weird Fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

Really like the material of these shorts and the layout of everything, but the rise is VERY short. It was pretty tight/bunched/uncomfortable up front and I'm not sure going to a size Large would have helped.

Runs small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 32

These run much smaller than all of my Fox shorts. I usually wear a 32 in Fox, and the 32 in these shorts fit really tight. Sending them back to try a 34.
