Verve Xp Pant

Old Man Winter may throw some blows at your winter commute, but you’re not one to turn down the fight when your ride time is at stake. Craft is on your side when it comes to the battle against the elements, and built the Verve XP Pants to help you hold down the road. These winter-ready pants offer wind and waterproof fabrics that hold up to Nor’Easter winds, and icy mid-west flurries alike as you head into the city on your daily commute. Inside they feature a soft, brushed touch to keep you comfortable and help you trap heat, while 360-degree reflective accents boost your visibility when winter’s days are dismal and dark.

Holding up to your commute is key, and Craft makes sure the Verve XP Pants are ready for it by reinforcing the knee and lower back to hold up to movement, while doubling as an extra layer of insulation. Extra durable fabric enhances the seat area to hold up to hours in the saddle, and a relaxed fit gives you room for layering on the sub-zero days when you’re still not willing to give in to vehicular transportation.

  • Commute-ready pants that stand up to winter
  • Wind-and-waterproof fabric keeps you toasty and dry
  • Trap heat where you need it with brushed, soft lining
  • 360-degree reflectivity helps you stay seen on dreary days
  • Reinforced knee and lower back boosts durability and warmth
  • Hook-and-loop adjustable waist keeps your britches in place

Unanswered Question

Can you fit knee pads under these?

Sizing on the site says 39" is XL, but according to Craft's sizing chart that would be an XXL, so I'm wondering what size I should actually order?

Thomas,

I'd go with the size guide from Craft. You'd be at an XXL with a 39" waist.

Give me a shout if you have any other questions!

Just what I was looking for

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I was looking for a cold weather pant to do some fat-biking with flat pedals and these fit the bill perfectly. They are relaxed enough to appear as a normal pant, but tight enough not to be a distraction when riding or pedaling. I am about 6' 170, 34 waist, 32 inseam and the large fit well and are true to size. They are roomy in the upper thigh, glute area despite the picture portraying them as form fitting....size down if you want the hipster look)

Some other uses for these pants:

1. Great commuting pant - reflective panels and material will tolerate some light rain and splash

2. Great cyclocross warm up pant (very ample zipper at cuff to take off over cleated shoe)

3. Good XC ski pant

4. Good lounging pant (which I am using them for now)

5. Decent winter running pant if it is really cold.
