Defend yourself against winter.

Craft's Shield Jersey was made for the days when the skies are threatening and the temperature is fluctuating, but you still have to get on your bike. Layer it over your base layer or regular jersey and arm warmers to conserve heat and protect your core from wintery precipitation and icy wind gusts. Swedish-born Craft knows cold-weather riding, and it designed this jersey not only to block out wind and precipitation, but to move with you while you ride using four-way stretch fabric. It includes a silicone gripper at the bottom hem to ensure it stays in place, with the inner collar lined with plush fleece to help protect your neck from windburn.

If you begin to warm up during your ride, the Shield has strategically placed VentAir moisture wicking panels to facilitate airflow so you don't feel like you're wearing a plastic bag, as well as three jersey-style pockets and one zippered pocket that keep nutrition and other ride essentials easily accessible. On those rare days when the sun comes out and you actually warm up, the Shield packs small enough to be stowed away in a jersey pocket for the journey home.

Very good shirt/jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A great tool for every ciclyst. Very confortable and hot! The inner fleece lining does a good job to improve confort and heat. The silicon strap in the low back maintain the shirt in the right place. This jacket run small and the fabric is inelastic as a rainning jacket. The arm sleeves are longer than usual.

I love this Jersey. Great for bad weather here in Brazil. For a little cold (around 16/18 degrees Celsius) with fine rain. Is perfect.

Perfect for 45F to 55F Rides

When paired with the Craft Shield arm and leg warmers and the Craft Shield bib shorts, this ensemble is comfortable, breathable, and has great flexibility and ease of movement for long chilly spring and fall rides (in the Northeast). The jersey and shorts have a soft fleece-like feel to them on the inside.....that amazingly breathes very well and wicks moisture away. When the temperature hits the upper 50's, it gets a little toasty. Below 45F, a short sleeve base layer will give you additional warmth.

Is the back breathable and thin to ventilate? I have a castelli perfetto, and like it but a soft inside would be nice as long as it isn't too warm.

Hi Curiousgeorge! The back of this shirt is made of the same fabric and caracteristics from the other parts. The fleece interior is very confortable and hot.
