Before we chat about the durable, glare-cutting Costa 400 Glass Lenses, we're going to discuss the vented sides of the Costa Del Mar Permit Polarized Sunglasses. Three beveled slots on each side of the frame help keep the Permit shades from fogging up when you're working up a sweat outside. The polarized Costa 400 Lenses use a LightWAVE glass material that resists scratches without feeling like lead on your face, while the stainless-steel hinges scoff at saltwater spray. And to top it all off, the Costa Del Mar Permits are hand-built (yup, by a person) in the Florida headquarters.

- Q & A
Nice shades that fit great.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The lens clarity on these Costa glasses is amazing. The polarization is the best i have ever seen, and I have owned hundreds of other sunglasses. I really like the glasses and i'm considering ordering another pair in a different color. They say XL for size on these, but I would say they are more a L/XL. I wear a 7.5 hat size and they fit like a glove. If my head was any bigger i couldn't wear them, but my face is fairly wide temple to temple.
Hello I am interested in which of the two...
I am interested in which of the two models, Permit or Blackfin has a better or stronger hinge?
Best regards Goran
It looks like the hinges are the same.
Awesome sunglasses. Seriously. I had another brand of polarized sunglasses and they never effectively blocked glare. I've had these out for a few days now and the optical clarity is amazing. They also provide awesome coverage with the lens size and side curtains. One really cool feature is the entire back of the frame is coated in rubber (where it touches your face) so they stay in position really well.
