This is an attractive, lightweight and sunblocking shirt that can be used for adventure and casual wear. I sent this to my mom and she loves it!

Used this shirt in the summer visit national parks while it was 110 deg F. I didn't feel too hot, and was very well protected from the sun.

This is the only shirt I've found that goes in at the waist and out at the hips, so not only does it actually fit me everywhere, it is very flattering. I'll buy more when they come out with some plaid prints.

Yes, this is the ONLY shirt I've found that is flattering!

I ordered this shirt for both practical and dressier purposes and was very impressed. It fits well, is light weight and also dressy.

Bold Columbia Logo on Arm

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I selected this shirt as a versatile travel shirt, but was disappointed to find a large Columbia logo on the sleeve. That means that I will not be able to use this shirt for dressy or city slick wear. As a side note, the fabric is fairly translucent, at least in the White shirt. The photo of product neither shows logo, no transparency of shirt. A good hiking shirt, to be sure, but I returned mine because it does not serve my purposes.

Agree about the logo.

I absolutely love this shirt. I'm petite (5'4", 115 lbs), small-shouldered and small-waisted, and most button-downs make me look like a child. But this shirt is both flattering and professional looking, while delivering more than enough cooling power (I've worn it several times out in hot, humid, and sunny weather). An XS fits me perfectly, and I really like the tapered waist and range of colors. I like it so much, I bought a black one on sale; sometimes it wicks so well that I feel almost too cooled by my sweat, so I don't think the black will be a problem in the heat. I would definitely recommend the fossil and iceberg, though.

Great Fit

This shirt has a great fit, the cut and fit allow freedom of motion without the pulling associated with a lot of other button up the front shirts that I have worn in the past.

    Silver Ridge Women's shirt sizing

After returning the Medium which was extremely tight, I received the Large and to my great disappointiment, it was way too large. There must not be any quality control in the manufacturing of this item with such a discrepancy in sizing between 2 sizes.
I liked the way the cuff was cut on an angle to cover the back of the hand-very clever functionality.
Although, the tab that is supposed to button on the arm when the sleeve is rolled up was next to impossible to attach. the button is hidden under a tiny upside down pocket on the upper sleeve and getting one's fingers underneath to button the tab is impossible. Very poor functional design element.
I couldn't keep the shirt anyway due to the sizing issue. I am 5'7" 124 lbs, small bust.

      Fishing/Safari Shirt

I was debating between getting the Small or Medium based on the sizing specs since my measurements were a bit of both. I chose the Medium anticipating that the larger size would allow more body movement when fly fishing. I was surprised upon receiving and trying on the Medium how fitted and tight the design of the shirt is. I am exchanging the Medium for a Large.
I do like shirts with some fitted form, and not too baggy, but the Medium was too tight to even layer a t-shirt comfortably underneath. It was also too body clinging for hot weather when some air circulation would be helpful.
Otherwise, the shirt seems just fine and I look forward to trying on the Large. I wanted a light tan color and a functional shirt for fishing and safari in Africa.
I am 5'7" 125 lb.s with a narrow torso and small bust. I usually wear a size 6 or 8 in tops unless the cut is unusually small.

        great shirt

love it. I got the red color. is more fitted than it appears. bought it for travel where hiking is involved. runs true to size.

          Nicer looking than it appears

I like this shirt. It's got a nice cut and is made of soft UPF 30 material. I think it runs true to size. I tend to have large shoulders and like larger arm holes, but this one seemed perfectly comfortable.

The collar has a fold up canyon collar. Nice feature for hiking in the sun. The sleeves roll up. I am a petite, so the sleeves are long for me. But I think they are pretty much right for the size.

There is a zip pocket on the front that is hidden by the seam. Nice touch.

At $49 I thought it was a good value.
