Lay the smackdown on winter's weather.

The Columbia Men's Ridge 2 Run II Pants love snowy winter weather. The waterproof breathable Omni-Tech membrane and fully taped seams mean you stay dry throughout all the winter storms. Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining integrates tiny silver specks along the pant's interior to retain warmth after the sun sets without adding any bulk to these pants.

Articulated knees let you duck, bend, and cruise all over the ski resort with the freedom of movement you require, a modern classic fit leaves plenty of room for layers galore on seriously chilly ski days, and vented zippers in the legs let out some steam in case you get too hot. Internal leg gaiters keeps snow off your boots, and Columbia reinforced the cuff guards to increase durability and longevity. Stash your snacks in the cargo pockets.

Good ski pants for shorter stocky men :)

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Amen to the 30" inseam! These are not gore-tex but keep you pretty dry except for very west snow/sleet conditions. Upside, no accordion-like bunching up over your boots. A clean look while making turns. I wish other brands would follow suit with shorter inseam sizes (I'm looking at you Norrona; jacket in photo is Norrona). Arc makes shorter inseam but they are triple the price of these.

Good ski pants for shorter stocky men :)

Great Ski Pants for the Price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I was looking for a quality, inexpensive pair of ski pants and have had great experiences with other Columbia gear so decided to go with these. As a beginner skier I didn't want to invest a ton of money in gear I may only use a few times a year. These pants worked great for my two full days of skiing and wiping out. Haha. The temps started out in the low single digits and by the afternoon it was in the low 30s and my legs stayed warm and dry while wearing a thermal base layer underneath. The waist was a little large but allows room to layer underneath. My favorite feature of these pants is all the pockets.

Great Ski Pants for the Price

Nice

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Pretty solid pants. Got them for a family member and they dig em.

Good Quality but Sized larger

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Large

These are great but had to send back the Large in favor of the Medium. I am a size 34 waist. Don't want to have to wear suspenders or a belt to keep these up.

Great looking and fitting pants, run big

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Small Short

These look great and fit great. My husband is 5ft 6in and weighs 158-160 and the Medium Short was a little big in the waist. We exchanged for the Small Short with high hopes. Backcountry.com has great service, Aron helped me a ton with these.

Hey Jane! Thanks for the review! I'm glad to help. I hope the small fits better!

Excellent ski pant at an excellent price

Just got the pants. Sizing accurate and comfortable. Used them in warmer ski weather and also super cold. Skinned up and skied down. They work great. Good venting when needed, good

    Ridiculous sizing

Sizing states that M would fit 33-35 waist. I’m a 34 and in no way could fit in these. Waist was 30 at most, returned pants.

      Great bang for your buck!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

These pants won't cost ya an arm and a leg... rendering these pants useless. Instead, for under $130, they have enough pocket space for your daily necessities, keeps you warm with Columbia's heat technology, but is still lightweight enough to be worn on those warmer days! I LOVE that these pants come in different lengths - that is a HUGE help to shorties like myself! I just wish that they came in a women's specific fit so I wouldn't have to order the men's version. The storm slope is a great option if your legs aren't super beefey! These are just a smidge baggy for my preference.

      Nice Pants

I've worn these about five times now, mostly out hunting pheasants. They fit well (run true to size.) I've mostly worn them in temperatures from 25 to 45 degrees. These are not good pants for very cold weather (below zero), and feel cold and clammy without a base layer. They also aren't very breathable (more waterproof than breathable.) They do work well in moderate cold (20-50 degrees) especially with an appropriate weight base layer. The reflective dots do seem to work, but not so much if you are inactive and not generating heat. These are not for ice fishing or sitting in a deer stand all day. They are waterproof, and for sure windproof. They do work well on windy drizzly days. They are comfortable to wear all day, but are a little noisy when you walk. All in all I'm happy with them, as a cool weather rain pant.

        Ready For The Snow

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: medium/reg

I needed a good shell for the waist down and previous reviews sold me on these pants. I haven't had them long but I can say that they are warm with a good base layer underneath. The gaiters stay put over my muck boots. I like all the pockets, and the fact that the rears have zippers under the flaps. My waist is 31" and the mediums are perfect for me, allowing plenty of adjustment to compensate for more or less layers inside. I'm looking forward to using these this season!

        Snow pants

There is plenty of pocket space, I almost don't need a backpack while skiing now. the size was good, and the color, the only issue I have is that the bottom of the snow pants are not as durable as I would like. I live in the east so I do a lot of skiing though shrubs and sticks and I have acquired a few small tears on the snow pants.

          Awesome!

          • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my 17 year old brother to ski in. He has also been wearing them to shovel snow at the house. They are warm and keep him dry. I bought the Tweed print and was surprised how much I like the color with his black ski jacket. Columbia did a great job with the quality for the price.

          Great pants

I bought these for my husband that away complains about being to hot.
If you are in the market for these you should buy this brand !

Just like the ad! wearing nothing under!

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
            • Fit: True to size
            • Size Bought: Medium

These pant are amazing. I always get hot while snowshoeing so I just wore the pants with nothing under. Snowing outside with sauna inside! I love these pants. I may need another pair for backup.

            The Perfect Ski Pant

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times
            • Fit: True to size
            • Size Bought: S

I've struggled with heat control in past snow pants I've owned. These pants do a great job of insulating while breathing relatively well. I run relatively hot but am glad to say that these pants allow air to circulate through when needed while being sturdy and warm enough to keep your legs cold when the temperature drops and winds pick up. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, versatile pair of ski pants.

            Great ski pants

            • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave these pants as a gift. The color looks awesome and the fabric feels nice, but I'll have to update later with more information on how they fit and function.

            Excellent Well Rounded Pant

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
            • Fit: True to size

The pants keep me dry and warm, usually only wearing one thin base layer underneath. The ventilation slots are well placed and no get in the way of skiing when unzipped ( as is the case with other pants). Worked as advertised with no complaints.

Amazing lightweight ski pant with warmth

I bought these as a gift for my dad! They are Super warm on the coldest days even though they are lightweight and thin. The ski pants get the job done. Pockets and zippers are well made! No complaints so far
