Garbage Boots

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Waited a full season to leave review so I could truly experience the durability of this boot, and boy was I disappointed. Within three months the boots both lost the waterproof aspect that led me to chose them. There are multiple seam breaks on both boots and they are no pun intended "coming apart at the seams".
I am most disappointed because I've had nothing but luck with other Colombia boots I've bought. Before you tell yourself that I probably abused them or used them improperly I can assure you they were not used for anything other that walking around, no kicking stuff, submerging in water, rock climbing etc etc. They were properly cared for and brought inside to dry out each night

Light and nimble

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 10 medium

Purchased these last year as an alternative to insulated duty boots during brutally cold stretches here in the stretch of land between the Adirondacks and Quebec. My Danner Acadias are great boots but can be heavy. When temps hit -35 the vibram soles become rock hard toboggans of death on wind swept sidewalks and grass. The Canuks were exactly what Jack Frost has always
feared. I was able to run, turn and stop on the icey pavement. And wade through 8 inches of snow without getting wet or cold. The Michelin tread make these my favorite winter boots. The omni heat was sufficient in activity mode.
