A winter three-for-all.

Keep things warm, dry, and simple this winter with the Columbia Bugaboo Interchange Boys' Parka, which combines a wind- and waterproof outer shell with a warm, heat-reflective inner fleece to give your wee ripper weather protection from fall to spring. The outer shell, which is made of tough nylon, is outfitted with a waterproof and breathable Omni-Tech membrane and has taped critical seams to keep him dry when he's hitting the ski hill on the weekend or hiking on a mild but damp day. Inside, a zip-out fleece uses an Omni-Heat reflective lining and warm polyester fabric to keep him toasty, whether he's wearing it on its own or zipped into the shell on cold, soggy days. Columbia designed the Bugaboo with an Outgrown growth system so you can extend the sleeves for growing groms, and threw in plenty of pockets and a removable hood to keep him (relatively) organized and totally snug against winter's worst.

Very disappointed

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

We got this coat for my son on 12/9 and he has worn it since. Today 2/18 when I put it on him I noticed the cuff of the sleeve has started to fray and the bottom of the coat too. Also there is the start of fraying near the shoulder. I am shocked at the lack of quality. Columbia coats usually last forever. This one hasn't made it 3 months. I justified the cost thinking this would be a nice coat to pass down to my younger son. This will not be an option with how poorly this coat hasn't held up.

Columbia makes nice coats but I was under the impression that the coat was going to be much thicker. Without the fleece jacket that zips inside the outside coat is as thick as a rain jacket. My son doesn't complain of being cold but he wouldn't complain if he really was!

There comes a day in a kids life where they move on from the cheap big box junk outerwear. I got my 7yo this jacket and I like it. It has a thicker fabric then other mid to upper end coats which for me is a good thing. My son likes to use his stomach on the sledding hill as much as his sled. And I have no idea where he came up with the

Bought this jacket for my son, it's as expected; however, it's not very adjustable at the bottom - no drawcords which is a bit of a downer.

Having said that, my son loves it. Mainly used for skiing.
